For me, I think hit-and-run tactics work well with the Xi. Dodge-roll more frequently to get behind cover and recover thrust quicker, wait for enemies to be distracted or reloading before popping out and not sticking around long after since everyone is playing stuff that can quickly knock down the Xi from range. It outputs maximum damage at close to mid range anyway, so I would focus on that using thrust and cover for such a wide open map. I would avoid flying high and solo unless the enemy is at a disadvantaged position. Its mobility and skills can be great for gaining a positional advantage, otherwise the tankiness might struggle with low damage output
