It's has been 2 years since I like this comment... And I still can't find that game All I remember is I play vs mode maybe. With my uncle and cousin. And we play it on city or space city type map idk what it was but it's feel like I am inside some kind big space ship and it's round... And the whole map is full of grass with small town something like that. And the HUD doesn't look that mess just so so.. I can watch the battle scene. Idk if it has an anime face Hope someone can find it for me lol
The old games in general had very nice story content and very accurate details, unlike now the Gundam series is online fights. It is unfortunate that we cannot enjoy the story with the current capabilities
IMO, the best PS2 Gundam game & one of the best Gundam games ever is Federation vs. Zeon. I remember having such epic battles with my friends in high school. We wore it & Armored Core 3 out lol. Gouf pilot 4 life!!!
You should look into Gundam Vs Zeta Gundam. It is a lot like Federation Vs Zeon just with more content I’m still working on unlocking everything in the gallery for Gundam Vs Zeta and completing the Universal Century mode.
For me it’s encounters in space, yeah the controls in space are not that great but I still had a lot of fun with campaign and piloting many different mobile suits and mobile armors. If I had to nitpick it’s that when you made your own characters there wasn’t like a replay value with the same character giving you different options for the early missions.
I’d argue that Federation Vs Zeon and Gundam Vs Zeta Gundam were close to perfect as they essentially use the same controls and gameplay that evolved to what it is in the Gundam Vs Gundam series
Rengou VS ZAFT II plus is my favorite. Because since I watch some anime in Indonesian TV channel every sunday morning since childhood I finally got the game and it's on!
I love Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2/Museum Gundam 2 🔥🔥🔥. Various combinations of squares (melee attacks) and triangles (long range attacks). For example square, square, square, triangle
I remember playing the hell outta Macross games (especially Triangle Frontier) for the PSP that have the same style the Gundam VS games had, then I saw other 2 Macross games like that for PS3, as well as more Gundam games on PSP and I believe one for NDS too, all of them following that exact gameplay formula, control scheme and interface layout. That's the one pattern I noticed other than the gameplay and controls being the same that always stuck out to me: the HUD is generally either the exact same or a variation of it, but generally in the same layout. Is there a specific name for it? Are there other non-Gundam non-Macross mecha games with that same style?
They are simply "arena fighters" but mech themed. The first ones were arcades like Virtual On by sega (also in Sega saturn). My favorites are Bulk Slash (Saturn) and LBX (3ds). Gundam and Macross ones are very fun too.
Hello, me and my brother are nostalgic and we bought a Playstation 2 and we do not know which of these games have multiplayer versus mode (better if it is split screen), can someone help us?
I played the hell out of GundamVSZeta Gundam(why is there 2 versions though?) and FedVsZeon shame a lot of these on this list were mostly Japan only releases they all looked really fun
i forgot which one but i remember there's a gundam which could be transform into ship form, there's also a gigantic gundam in one of the mission. i think it was one of the musou
@@amuroray88 "slightly" lmao. I think it's the best too (I had Federation vs. Zeon on PS2 and loved it), too bad the One Year War content is so little, plus many OYW suits are basically useless or unusable since most fights are in space. My only other criticism other than its repetitiveness is how uninspired/pointless 99% of the alternate routes are, they're still ok but I would have loved even something like 2 lines of text telling how the plot would have changed. The very fast paced Seed one seems fun and interesting but my favorite series is 0079 and I never followed Seed, I heard it's pretty bad. All the other action based seem very clunky/not fun, the fighting games just aren't for me and simply aren't what Gundam is really about, while I simply HATE all the dinasty warriors musou (I had one on the 360 and it was boring, but I still had some fun since I was 12).
The best one in terms of gameplay is definitely SEED Destiny : Rengou vs ZAFT 2+. The story mode is very long, there are tons of MS to choose from and the fighting mecanics were polished. It has a very arcade feel to it. The fact that a lot of gameplay mechanics can still be found in the later Gundam Versus series prooves that it was the peak of Gundam Versus game on PS2. It's just a shame that the person playing in the recording don't know the basics about any Gundam Vs game (same mistakes carried from Fed vs Zeon, Gundam vs Zeta and Rengou vs ZAFT2+) The trailer for the game do it way more justice. And about SEED being bad, it's ok. It's a retelling of the 0079 story at first and then becomes its own thing. The sequel SEED Destiny is the bad one.
one year war seems to be really good, the only thing that "sucks" about it is that the ps2 emulator only runs under "software" setting so u can't run it with any type of graphical enhancements... but that's a minor gripe overall it's a great game.
Lost war chronicles, Gihren no Yabou Zeon Dokuritsu sensouden (i wish they do remake on this and make it available in english language), and Zeonic Front for me
wow the nostalgia... my uncle was into some weird obscure anime, why tf did i play this as a kid... i mean im glad i did but as a lil boy from rural NC i should have not been playing this. lol

No lie all these old ones on ps2 look horrendous 😅😂 maybe it’s because i started with breaker series but man… Idc I wouldn’t even care to play any of these Edited: the only ones that look good to play are the federation vs Zaft, and zaft plus 2
