I remember getting the battle scarred gundam figurines as a kid. My parents wouldn't buy me gunpla because of their price and honestly I was hard on my toys as a kid. What's cool about these toys is that they do make em with some customizability so that you might get interested in actual gunpla.
I always see these around at comic stores and model shops and such. They look cool, definitely something I'd buy as a kid, but as an adult? not so much.
those are super cool for what they are! i feel like even without the neck and waist spinning they're more flexible than me lmao. they could definitely be panel lined! that kind of plastic absolutely Hates being painted but it's doable. if it can get dirty it can get artificially dirty. thanks for the video meli. :3
These figures used to be of a much higher quality back in 2000. I have over 40 of them spanning 6-7 different series. My 12 year old self loved these. My 36yo self cherishes them dearly! I am very sad that we cannot find a product that is of equal or greater quality to add to our collections.
That pink eye shadow suits you very well. These kits look nice for kids, it would be a good intro for kids, without having to dip into Gunpla. First exposure if you will lol
These trashy adolescents down here in the comments need to grow up. She's a passionate Gundam fan with a growing collection which is something I can relate to. I have exactly 65 Gundam action figures from twenty years ago that are still unopened, and will remain that way.
I got the Artemis & Astray Red Frame infinity figures from the 99 cent store for $4.00. These figures are decent. Definitely aimed more towards kids but that means they'll leave your other Gundam figures & kits alone lol
Great video as always! I got lucky and found them on clearance for 3.98 at Target. I have them for collectibles but I agree they are great for kids. Thanks for the review :)
Ever since target started carrying gundam model kits, ive seen these on display right above and *always been curious* about them since they're so cheap🕵️♂️ ty for vid. Gonna buy these to try and get my nephews into gundam >:3
these are great for kids when youre introducing them to gunpla.my 1st gundam is the rubber gundam 1/144(?) around 25yrs ago.took me 6-7yrs before i was able to complete the wing gundam series.we live in prov by the way.no reliable toy store & needed to travel 1-2hrs or worst, 5hrs to a jampacked toy store back then.
Hey, speaking of new options, if you ever want to add some of that Cybertronian flavor to your collection, Flame Toys has a Furai Model line of pretty cool looking Transformers model kits. 😮👍
Meli, may I humbly suggest that turning on the lights to your display makes the videos look a lot livelier....looks kind of depressing when the lights to your display are off....great video as always though..
Howdy, Meli! I was always a fan of #Gundam toys. They’re the lazy fans way of having a mobile suit without building a model. #BattleDamage mobile suit toys were good to buy because, it always saved my models from being defaced, or butchered. Good review! 🧸🧐🍪
Great video. FYI if you ever get a Robot Spirits, you should look into the Ver. A.N.I.M.E. line. They generally come with all the accessories you'd expect and effect parts.
They look smaller and easier to adapt for 15mm gaming, which is often a selling point for many a toy. It allows you to buy gaming minis and terrain cheaper than actual gaming minis. At 12USD though, pass. It's so expensive it defeats the purpose.
Honestly it more for kids who like to play with toys. I have purchase two of them to collect but no play but in the end I would stick with the model kits
Thank you for the review ive passed these up because like you id rather build them but after your review i may grab a couple of these they dont look bad at all and the interchangable parts thats the seller! You can make up your own character great review Meli
They do have different price points for these action figures. There are 2 different sizes, but very close. This is the cheaper end. For around double the price, they have slightly bigger ones with better details and accessories and articulations. But as you said, for the young kids, these are good gateway toys to the Gundam world.
The swapping is the reason you don't have the articulation of the model kits. As for the green beam saber, since it matches the legs I thought it went with the one you had to buy five to get. Usually, with these mix and match action figures, the other figure comes in five packages and often times larger than the rest but not always. I would like to see the set completed. Marvel has done figures like these for years would it be normal figures with the extra pieces or mix and match figures with extra pieces. The challenge usually comes when you try to complete the set and find 4 of 5 with the 5th being extremely hard or sold in different part of the country or another store you rarely shop at.
Yes, the robot spirits side MS lines are spendy. But also some come with real cool effects. Depending on who or what they're real expensive and not necessarily toys, more collectible and very posable. Those are nowhere near the Tamashii Nations robot spirits line.
These are a slight downgrade from the MSIA series they did and got released in America back in the early 2000s Wich I collected the hell out of;I'm hoping we get all the wing gundams in this series
Hey Meli:) Great review, but not my cup of tea.. But if I could come with a request, it would be if you could do more live streams?:) I know that you are busy and sometimes time is of an issue, but it would be great to see more live streams:) Keep up the good work 😀
These figures are at my local target on clearance for $4 each they have a bunch so I’m waiting till they go down a little more in price before I buy the whole set lol
They almost remind me of the 1/144 No grade.. almost.. lol. But I guess they're okay for a toy.. and you're right the heads look awful.. but as always great review Meli 😁
These look more for kids who like the shows or just like the look of the figures, but to me they're not like the Gundam figures from the 90's. For one the plastic one these new figures seem more prone to breaking like if they're accidentally dropped on the ground but the old figures weren't.
@@Gunplameli yep! i still also have mine. i used to buy em because they were already painted with full accessories for the price of an HG kit. sadly, it died with the 00 series because GFF and robot damashii came out and bandai had a taste of that premium price tag.
It ain't worth it 😂🤣 Man, do I want Assault Kingdom figures kind of quality for this toyline. Those are the best Gundam minifigures before G-Frame exist 🤦♂️😮💨
