This is the official trailer for the newly released Gundam Vs. arcade game from the main website. Includes Linkin Park's newest single "The Catalyst." Official Website: gundam-vs.jp/ex... All rights reserved to their respected owners.
What the hell, you have LINKIN PARK as the opening. If they do not brings this game to America, I will be horribly horribly disappointed. And to think, there is almost no doubt that Dynasty Warriors 3 will be brought over . . .
@SilentSwordsmanLV5 But this game is also going to be ported eventually to PS3 right. I mean, Street Fighter 4 is an arcade game, but it still came over.
@bluevegas01 It looks like someone completely misunderstood what I was saying. What I meant was that Linkin Park, a band that enjoys some popularity in America has given their endorsement of the game and that that would be a good angle for Bandai-Namco to bring the game over on, HOWEVER given their recent track record of licensed Gundam games, they will not bring this game over. I'm not talking about me personally buying this game, just about the chances of it getting licensed.
@SilentSwordsmanLV5 Well they also make console versions of this series. If they do port it it'll be a risky endeavor if the conditions aren't right. But if they can atleast get a good margin of players and support in terms of fanbase it may be a good gem. Unrelated game but an example of this would be Sengoku Basara 3. Capcom took a gamble in releasing the game here because of the failure that was Devil Kings. However what helped them was making the price fairly cheap ($40 PS3 and $30 Wii)
See Bandai America believes that Americans will only buy Dragonball Z and Naruto games. but when it comes to games like Gundam 0081 (a completely remapped version of Crossfire) they just turn their heads. Probably cause Crossfire was such a fail when it came out, so they dont want a repeat of that.
@SilentSwordsmanLV5 Though honestly if they release it on PS3 over here, they should do what Sengoku Basara did and only sell here for maybe $40. Either way I'll still buy it.
The only installments of the VS series that got translated are Federation vs Zeon and Gundam vs Zeta Gundam, both for the PS2. There simply isn't enough interest in the West for Gundam games; neither the rest of the VS series, nor the in-theory fucking awesome Gihren's Greed got ported because financially, it's not worth it for the developers.
@rikimaruakanomad Ask me which Gundam mobile suits I like best? I'd say Gundam NU , Wing Gundam Zero , and the CrossBone Gundam X-1 , and the the 00 Raser Gundam . Which would win in a fight? I guess I'll know soon , the game releases tommorrow and my import vers. arrives in about 4 days . Watch my channel for the videos of game play in HD.
@mandarinduck ...lets be real, that's the dumbest thing I have EVER heard. You're basing on not getting one of the most awesome gundam games based on the opening music? Who the hell does that? Last time I check it's the gameplay not the opening music that makes you spend the money.
