I absolutely love Cold War era Soviet armor. I dunno what it is, but T-55s, T-64s, T-72s etc just have the penultimate tank look and feel. They have that air about them that screams "I have 125mm of hate and you're about to feel it".
I made it! Some things people might not notice unless they look close: T55A in ghpc appears in czechoslovak configuration and polish configuration in roughly the same ratios they appeared in the NVA in reality (Czechs were main supplier of t55 to east germany) The way to tell a Czech t55 from front is the three mounting points just below the machinegun port for swim gear. Generally the thin, lenticular ribs around the turrets' gun and sight port were czech/polak production feature, with the soviet ones having a thicker, stadium shape. Stowage on these are common with Czech/polish type, again russian ones had different layout of boxes espescially on the turret. Swim gear is polish/czech - note wooden floats (red/white) on the left sponson, eastern bloc style snorkel where the russian t55 woulf have an unditching beam at the rear. For "NVA-ONLY" features, look for the metallic chocks mounted ovet the exhaust, and the multi-colored night marching light at rear left. Four bars indicates "too close" - pull the camera back and the light changes appearance to give the driver behind a signal for proper march spacing in the dark. As for for tips i reccomend setting sight to 800ish. Its easier to use the strichmarke for leading by shotfall if you make a habit of point+shoot close to the aiming mark.
I'm impressed by the quality and editing of your vids! And you strike a good balance between the factual intro and actual gameplay. I look forward to seeing what you do with the channel.
Thank you so much for your comment and the positive feedback, glad to hear you enjoy the format I got going! For now I think I'm going to keep things pretty much as they are, making this "All GHPC vehicle" series and I'm going to do that "Armored warfare in a nutshell" guide. But in the future I am planning to make some more cinematic style videos and I want to cover all the missions at some point too. So a lot of stuff is to come!
great work also fun fact : the BR-412B that can be used by the t55a in GHPC started production by early 1945 meaning GHPC is one of the very few games where you can shoot ww2 ammo at a M1IP 0:57 also a centurion with the number 169041 (call sign 24C) like the t55 also survived a nuke with the only damage being done was the periscopes getting sand blasted and other outside damage and later that same tank was repaired a sent to Vietnam and still exist to today
Having the t55a in the game is comical, its like giving america m48s. They upgraded the t55s with laser and missiles and weren't using any t55a in the 80s.
Hey bro do gotta say that I love your videos, I love all WWII tanks and plan on joining the army to become a Abrams crew member, but my knowledge of modern tanks ain’t the greatest so I learn a ton from you, just keep it up cause your funny have great videos for learning and i know that you got so much potential so good luck and you will definitely see more comments from me. Can’t wait for the next vid
Thank you so much for your kind comment, I really appreciate it! And I'm glad my videos have been helpful to you so far! And if you are planning to actually become a tanker, you might enjoy the "Armored warfare in a nutshell" guide I got coming up. Although it'll based on GHPC, I do use a lot of research based on real armored warfare for it as well. I hope you get the job, driving armor is amazing! And the Abrams is just one of the best. Especially the new M1A2 SEP V4 is a BEAST! There's nothing better than waking up with the sounds of big cannons!
I mean, if you like armored warfare games/sims, I can assure you GHPC is worth every penny! And it's only uphill from here on out, now that it's still in Early Access! You'll love the game I'm sure :)
@@steamuser6607 So, for Early Access I think they're gonna stay with the cold war era. But who knows what they're gonna do after early access is done? What I do know is that there's apparently a T-34 easteregg in the Warschau Pact campaign. If you are running really low on resources, there is a small chance that you get the T-34 to spawn in. I haven't had it happen yet so I do think it's pretty rare...
