The Astray Red Frame Kai is an upgraded version of the MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame, developed by Lowe Guele in response to his encounter with the LN-GAT-X207 Nebula Blitzs. This enhanced suit features several modifications, with the most significant change being the replacement of the Red Frame's backpack with the Tactical Arms IIL and its mount.
In addition to the two head-mounted "Igelstellung" 75mm multi-barrel CIWS and the iconic "Gerbera Straight" katana, the Red Frame Kai is equipped with the "Tiger Pierce" katana. It no longer utilizes a physical shield, and the beam torch component of Tactical Arms IIL serves as a replacement for the Type 71 beam rifle.
The Tactical Arms IIL, much like the Tactical Arms II used by the MBF-P03R Gundam Astray Blue Frame 2nd Revise, has the ability to transform into multiple forms, each granting unique abilities to the Red Frame Kai. While the Tactical Arms II had various forms, the Tactical Arms IIL retains the Sword form and a slightly modified Flight form. It introduces four new forms: Arrow form, Work form, V form, and Delta form.
Furthermore, the Tactical Arms IIL can function as the "Maga no Ikutachi" Energy Absorption Claw and as a DRAGOON system. The beam torch component can be detached and utilized as a welding tool or a beam rifle by adjusting its output. Although the Tactical Arms IIL represents Lowe's extensive knowledge and expertise, the multitude of forms and functions it possesses increases the likelihood of malfunctions and poses challenges for maintenance.
The Astray Red Frame Kai, with its upgraded weaponry and versatile Tactical Arms IIL, provides Lowe Guele with enhanced combat capabilities and adaptability in battle.
