No, he wrote the wrong date, he made a mistake, he was not born in 1842 but in 1942.

John Browning didn't design the Winchester Model 12, he was long gone from Winchester by then, due to Winchester refusing to pay him royalties for the Browning Auto 5. He designed the Winchester 1897, which the Model 12 was partly based on. The model 12 was designed by T.C. Johnson.

0:50 The C96 may have been produced by the Mauser company, but it was designed by the Feederle brothers: Fidel, Friedrich, and Josef Feederle. Paul Mauser himself did not design it. 1:20 The Winchester Model 1912 was designed by Thomas Crossley Johnson. Sure, it was inspired by John Browning's design, but it wasn't made by Browning himself.

There are a few gun makers that this missing. Carl Walther, George Roth, and Fabrique Nationale the co-manufacturer of the FN 1900.

The M16 is missing, It was created by Eugene Stoner and was the US Military's standard assault rifle from the Vietnam War into modern day

Another list for corrections: - Borchardt (not Borchadt) - Pedersen is written correctly in one line and incorrectly in another. - Not sure about the Saiga 12, but I'm pretty sure Kalashnikov did not design the AK-12. If you consider it being basically the same thing as the original AK, no need to mention the AK-12 at all.

@@dataillusion When and how? I find that hard to believe. What are your sources? Even if he was involved in some way, it must have happened in the last years of his life and I highly doubt his contributions were significant enough to credit primarily him with the design. I'm open to new information, but I can't find any myself. Ditto for the Saiga 12. Can you help me here?

The AK-12 was designed by a team and Mikhail Kalashnikov was one of them. And even though they weren't named Kalashnikov like the rest, both the Saiga hunting rifle (basically a semi-auto AK) and the Saiga shotgun were designed by Kalashnikov.
