Slash is actually underrated as a guitarists but being in Guns N Roses made him mega famous because of his top hat and long curly black hair. He was the coolest cat on the block. The first pre 2000 song to get 1 Billion views was November Rain by Guns N Roses. They have some of the most iconic songs of all time. If the original band had stayed together since the beginning then they would have become as big as The Beatles or The Rolling Stones. Not to say that they are not big as they are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, have sold over 100 million albums and their reunion tour a few years ago became the 5th highest grossing of all time. Their songs are timeless and are still as relevant today as when they were first released. They are my all time favourite band.
No way they become the next Beatles. Nirvana comes in during the 90s and makes GnR a novelty. Oasis is the only band I think that could have been Beatles level if they managed to hit America as hard as they did England
@@Beamboy555 no way,UYI albums came out in 91 and did amazing. Their decline had nothing to do with Nirvana, just the members arguing and eventually leaving. And really???Oasis as big as the Beatles????? Most people haven't even heard of them, what are you talking about?(sorry if I sound mean)
Lmao he sucks life. Listen to literally any of the solos his bends are totally off especially for a professional guitarist. Yeah I know he’s drunk but almost every well known guitarist ever was either drunk or on some drug on stage
November Rain, Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle, Don't Cry, You Could Be Mine (you might recognize from the Terminator 2 soundtrack), Knocking on Heaven's Door... all are absolute classics! You can see on the Paradise City video how they could pack out a stadium and the energy was incredible. You can watch the very dramatic official November Rain video, but there is also an awesome live performance of it they did with Elton John... when Slash climbs on top of Elton's piano... chills... because you know what's coming LOL! Slash is responsible for some of the most recognizable guitar rifts ever played.
Patience.... (is a great song) November Rain... Paradise City..... (IS FIRE) Live and Let Die (is a great remake from WINGS in the 70's) They came out in the mid to late 80's when i was in college. Fell in love with their sound....i could never go see them in concert bc i was a poor college student. They broke up in the 90's.....They finally announced a US tour this summer, so i bought tickets for me and my kids....then COVID-19 shut it down.........
"I thought this was gonna be a slow song." Um, for them it is! ;-) I love the respect you have for the music! And tour intelligent comments, GREAT reaction... NEW SUB!
Imagine how many kids picked up a guitar for the first time after hearing that solo. Then imagine how many guitars wound up in pawn shops after those same kids realized Slash is a god on the guitar and they would never ascend to that skill level.
I got the cd this is on, Appetite For Destruction, for my 13th birthday in 1987, along with my first cd player, That solo is pretty much the reason i always wanted to learn guitar,
You need to react to Sebastian Bach from Skid Row.. You havnt heard an outstanding voice like his... One of the best songs to show his range is Wasted Time... Simply Mind blowing voice!
Every vid you can find from GnR back in the day is fantastic. They were one of the greats. When it comes to breath control, there are few better than Axl. Slash is a wonderful blues guitarist who happens to play rock music. He hates this song, by the way. The famous riff is something he used to do to warm up. He's one of the one's that got me interested in playing myself. I had tickets to see them when they toured with Metallica and wound up in the hospital with double pneumonia the night of the show. I was pissed, but I had a couple friends that freakin loved me.
@@marinadiamondz Agree.. My favorite front man is Axel tho… Entertainment-wise and crowd-friendly, Axel is hard to beat… Steve is of course known for his unique voice🤙
Nice reaction, gotta do Welcomes To The Jungle and Mr Brownstone or anything Guns & Roses, also do some Motley Crew, start with Dr Feel Good, Wide Side!
Growing up to led zeppelin, zztop, gnr, lynrd skynryd so many greats from 60s and 70s my parents listened to and passed down to us. Please react to more old school rock and oldies love me some 40s and 50s too!
Some more Journey is needed dude. They’re so good -> - Send her my love - Dont stop believin (live and studio) - Who’s crying now but Live - And most importantly Faithfully
NOVEMBER RAIN!!!!! It has the most views than any music video from the 80s and 90s ok RU-vid. It’s one of their BEST songs!!!! Also check out Paradise City, Civil War, Welcome to the Jungle, It’s so Easy, Estranged, Dont Cry and Rocket Queen
When it comes to most of Guns 'N Roses music, especially this song, you hear a lot of female singers singing them because Axel Rose's vocals. Btw, Axel Rose is from Indiana.
Just stumbled across you on the video editing suggested apps. Really wasn’t expecting to get sucked into reaction videos... don’t normally do reaction videos... man but I really appreciate your appreciate for music. Keep up the good work brother, I subscribed and liked... and now here’s a comment. All love homie.
Slash also played on "Dirty Diana" song by Michael Jackson. Please react to it. Also someone mention "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N Roses. Excellent song too! Please listen to both and react! Thanks!
Steve Stevens is the guitarist on Dirty Diana, but Slash did play on MJs song “Give Into Me” which led them to tour together in the early 90’s & Slash also played at Mikes 30th anniversary in 2001!!
Rock bands dating back even to the late 60s were all about their hair. It was just the Rock N Roll thing. I'm glad that GNR didn't turn into one of those Glam Hair Metal bands. They were so raunchy and real and the fans loved it. 🤘😋
I'm brand new to your channel, but I'm subscribed to a half dozen other reaction channels. I would recommend "ONE" by Metallica, followed by "Master of puppets". It's all about venturing out of your comfort zone.
I remember hearing about Slash in 87-89 being in the top 10 of guitarists at the time. Not the best vocals at the time but an iconic song. It was the rawness and clean sound was such an attraction. One of my favorite songs is Civil War by GnR (Gun N' Roses)
There are a great many Guns N Roses songs to check out. Here is a great short list. Patience Civil War November Rain Don't You Cry Mr. Brownstone Live and Let Die Welcome to the Jungle Paradise City
I am really enjoying your reactions. Suggestion Bridge over troubled water by Simon and Garfunkel. The live version from their concert in Central Park. Art is one of the most underrated singers.
You should review either “like a stone” or “I am the Highway” by audioslave. The late Cris Cornell has some amazing vocals, and Tom Morello on Guitar is amazing. “Hunger Strike” by Temple of the Dog is another good one for Cornell vocals, joined by Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam)
Dont know if you've ever heard any of their music before but a group I'd recommend you listen to is Metallica, if you get to it the first song I'd reccomend is "Master of Puppets" and if you dont like it give some of their other songs like "Fade to Black", "One" or "Nothing Else Matters" a chance because there is variation in their music
slash as a guitarist probably anywhere between like 15-25 would be a decent ranking for him and not criminally underrated or overrated. His technical abilities are not the greatest to ever be but the dude has his very own unique style, which imo is more important. created some of the most easily recognisable riffs and solos in rock history. man is a power house on the strings
him: i thought it was gonna be a slow song me: 🎶lost in the garden of eden, said we're lost in the garden of eden, n' there's no one's gonna believe this... 🎶 😆
Yeah, this is a great song, thanks for the quality reaction. I saw an opera teacher talking about axl rose who said he has 8 octaves of range and does 3 hours of voice excercises before each show, which is crazy if true (and I have no reason to not believe her). And his name is an anagram for oral sex, in case you were in danger of having too much respect for him. Later.
Patience is slower. Shows Axl's range much more. I think Sweet Child was done in a warehouse and well as Patience. Just finished reading Steven Adler's book about his time with GNR. It was very interesting and heartbreaking at the same time. He was the drummer......."was". I am trying to read Slash's book now but the print is a bit too small for me. God Bless on your journey of getting to know GNR!! :D
Idk why but all of my subscriptions have been taken off so I've subd AGAIN....but I had told you the story of when Axl brought in this song (about his then gf) and Slash literally thought it was a joke! He hated this SONG!!!💋 BUT obviously WE ALL LOVE it!!!😂
I would like to suggest 2 songs from Steelheart, I really think the lead singers vocals will blow your mind. The songs are she's gone and I'll never let you go.
