@Bronze Wolf - do you remember the guy dressed as Freddie, he was next to us for most of the day. When Brian May spotted him he said he had to take a double take as even he thought it was Freddie. The guy pulled off Freddie's look perfectly. He looked the part so much it was spooky lol
The Ultimate Dream band of 90’s ….. they had everything anyone ever wanted …. glam, character, composition and every band member were individually famous with their own fan base …. Thanks GnR for the 90’s moment u had made in our life
On being asked about his favourite frontman of all time, Rose said: “For me, it’s easy - Queen is the greatest band and Freddie [Mercury] is the greatest frontman of all time.” He added: “The band are the greatest because they embraced so many different styles.” Source: NME (New Musical Express)
Also Paradise city live is definitely a Banger!! Seen them 6x was also at this tribute concert!! It was Amazing, incredible and one of my favorite concerts from GNR ❤🎸🎼🤘❤️🔥
This song was written and first performed by Bob Dylan - no musical education is complete without delving into Bob Dylan's music - his songs tell the story of our lives. . .
I agree he is a fantastic song writer but as a performer he lets himself down. Everyone who have covered a Dylan song has done a better version of it than the original by Dylan himself.
@@dazzanomas9418 Oh, no - I disagree. Rarely, do I like the cover more than Dylan's version. Sometimes I'm not thrilled with his live versions, either lol - but he sings them for the greatest impact.
Por supuesto, Dilan es un poeta y uno de los mayores artistas que habrá es una delicia, Diane tienes un gran gusto musical y grandes conocimientos, saludos
A song written by Bob Dylan, recorded by Guns & Roses at a Freddy Mercury memorial! WOW. That is quite the ride! Welcome tot he Jungle is absolutely the best G & R concert song.
"Welcome to the Jungle' vote here Freddie Mercury was the lead singer for Queen. He was a one of a kind talent. You must do QUEEN "Somebody to love" Live 1981 in Montreal. Not the studio version. Live version is 10x better. You'll understand when you watch it. Epic performance
Just seeing your girlfriends authentic reaction ans smile was enough.. I hope you young knes realise that was probably one of the best live performances you'll ever see
They have so many good songs, for now I’d recommend Welcome to the Jungle, November rain trilogy w/ don’t cry and estranged, My Michelle, and Mr Brownstone ( studio or live 1988 ritz) 😎
I swear listening to your reactions ...you two are becoming like family :D once again definitely appreciate the effort ...this song is a 60s song from Bob Dylan guns n roses covered
This was a cover song, written by Bob Dylan... it was made popular by Eric Clapton. Guns N Roses were on tour in 1988/ 1989 when they got news that a friend, Todd Crew had died of a heroin OD. They had a show being filmed for MTV, so they played "Knockin' on heaven's door" in memory of Todd Crew. The song got a huge response... so GNR recorded it for their 1991 album 'Use your illusion II'. It was a perfect song to honor (late) Queen singer Freddie Mercury at that show in 1992... by that point, 2 original members of GNR were out of the band. U had singer W. Axl Rose, Slash (lead guitar) & Duff McKagan (bass)... w/ new members Matt Sorum (drums), Dizzy Reed (keyboards)& Gilby Clarke (guitar) and backup singers added on stage... GNR fans expected a 5 member band, but got about 9 people onstage for that tour from 1991 to 1993.
You don't pause any more or less than other reactors. You're good man. Think some folks want no pauses what so ever but that's unrealistic. You gotta pause to communicate what you're feeling. Love the react....peace.
I heard some rumors that Axl actually got choked up back stage, like he was on the verge of crying. This was apparently a emotional performance for him.
This IS a fan favourite for sure, because it has a call-and-response portion to it (where he asks the crowd to sing parts), but make no mistake: their absolute banger live, without fail, is and always has been "Welcome To The Jungle". That's why they almost always opened with it. Pretty much all their songs are amazing, and Slash was one of the main reasons I picked up a guitar when I was 14.
Axel said at their 1st stadium gig, "If theyre giving me the whole stage, im using every inch of it!" You will see him in all large size venues just running across the stage!!
It’s a Bob Dylan tune covered here well. Others have suggested listening to November Rain, to which I add encouragement. I can only imagine the wasteland of music you heard growing up (shudder upon shudder), but that’s all changing.
Yeah man you got to do Paradise City from the same concert Freddie Mercury tribute concert. They played two songs first one paradise city and then the second one was Knocking on heaven's door which you just reacted to. Best live band ever! Then you can listen to anything from appetite for destruction album you'll love it guaranteed!
As many other have said, Freddy Mercury was the lead singer of Queen. This show was a tribute to his life as he sadly passed away from Aids. There were a bunch of very famous bands at the time that got together for this show. They played some of their own songs along with Queens song with the remaining members of the band and some other collabs I suggest you check out the entire concert as it's all great. Gun's and Rose's also did Bohemian Rhapsody along with Elton John, epic performance.
Who was Freddie Mercury? Lead singer of the British band Queen. They recently made a biopic about him called 'Bohemian rhapsody' about his career w/ Queen, starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. Mercury was gay... he contracted AIDS in the 80's, but kept recording music w/ Queen until his death in late 1991. The surviving members of Queen played their final show at Wembley stadium as a tribute to Freddie Mercury in the spring of 1992... guest vocalists sang Mercury's songs that night, including Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Axl Rose of Guns N Roses, Seal, George Michael, etc. Metallica, Def Leppard, Guns N Roses opened the concert. Currently, 2 members of Queen teamed up w/ singer Adam Lambert to tour, playing Queen songs as "Queen+Adam Lambert"
Guns n Roses is always better live. Always. Everytime you have a chance, hear them live ratter than their music videos, especially if the performance is from 91,92, or 93
Check out these too! Patience, It's so easy(the live version, for home video), Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise city, Mr. Brownstone, November Rain, Don't cry
I am so happy I watched you guys today. I don't want to laugh at you. But you made me laugh. I love how you are going into music unfamiliar to you. You guys are awesome
"Another one Bites the Dust" Queen/Freddy Mercury. Great band. As far as i know, only band where every member wrote a number one hit. But, the actual reason for my comment, TOOL "46 and 2". Do it! Your welcome!
Man. No one requests any of the good GNR songs. Out Ta Get Me, My Michelle, Nightrain, Mr Brownstone. It’s always “PaRADiSe CiTy” or “WElComE To ThE JunGlE”
I love you all relax reactions keep the guns and roses coming man I'm telling you they're the best you'll see. Cuz they can rock out and then they got slow jams they do it all and as you can see they're the best live band ever! November rains a slow jam. Don't cry. A song called is strange is awesome and anything from appetite for destruction. But you got to do Paradise City live from the Mercury tribute concert this same one. They sang Paradise City before they sang this song just to get the total vibe of them
I've seen them several times. Always awsome...in the era of this video...Three Rivers Stadium, Pittsburgh....with "Metalica" and " Fath No More "... 11 hour show...absolutely insane mosh pit...complete with slip and slide style diving across the turf into the dug outs...side note..intr was from " Alice Coopers" ." Only Women Bleed "..
Y'all been missing out man axle and slash on the guitar are the two best ever do it man. They can jam and get hyped or they can play slow rock songs that are just jamming. Just keep checking them out man you'll agree I want to see what you have to say play anything from appetite for destruction but you got to do Paradise City from the same concert Freddie Mercury tribute concert it's awesome too
