i took a look at some of your covers of guns, and i could say, damn, these are the best cover i've heard so far, sounds real and clear, effects are kinda dead on and bass is just epic looking, everyting is just epic man, subscribe is guaranted here, keep up ;)
I use a Terratec DMX 6Fire usb. I just plug the bass in then edit the tone in garageband after recording, there's some cool bass presets. Compressor, chorus, a bit of EQ and go !
@gkjh9519HD It depends... I use it for live, not on my videos. But if you want a basic light chorus setting like mine, Rate and Depth; 9 o'clock / Low filter 12 o' clock; Level 3/4
thanks man ! Effect is a simple chorus, nothing else. you can set the EQ with more high-mid or treble, helps a lot to get a bright sound with more attack
me again, because you do not teach the music that you can play. I am Brazilian, playing bass, I love Guns, I have a cover band, but learn their songs is very difficult because it is hard to find someone who teaches music right and with good quality video and from what I saw you look like a play original music and video quality is great. Could you help me, I downloaded your videos and I am looking to see if I learn something Please make these videos teaching how to play the songs. Beg!
hello, I still do not have a cover band but I'm willing to form one, is missing only the singer, but kind, we do not have much experience because we have college, so there's plenty of time for groups to meet, just once in a while. But all are driven by one purpose: ROCK thanks! Sincerely I hope the videos
@bassmatt8602 thats ok man. ill try and use your video as a guideline on how to play it. I'm good enough at Bass to play it, but I can't quite work things out by ear yet. It'll take time, but dammit I'll get there! :D
Hi! :) can you help me? Can you explain to me the right passages to connect my bass to garageband and how have you set the effects ect to have this tone? It's beautifull!!! Thanks.. and ... Your bass is very nice! ;)

Are you uncomfortable and that's why you're always adjusting your strap or is a subconscious habit? You're my fave bassist on RU-vid btw!!! 🤘🏻. And yeeeesssss Metallica!! 👍🏻
@bassmatt8602 Have you modified the song so that the pitch is a bit higher so that you don't have to change the tuning of the bass? I'm just curious. I think you did the same thing with Sweet Child O Mine.
what chorus pedal? Killer tone, dude!!! I've got an Chorona Chorus by TC with "Duff's Chorus" toneprint... but this one that you're using sounds more simmilar =P Thanks Keep rockin o/
I love the videos and i love the bass.amazing shit.i was wondering if you could tab this i cant seem to find tabs for it worth shit.all the ones i find are horrible.
@bassmatt8602 cheers man the ceb3 was the one i was origionally looking at but i wasnt sure cuz its digital but i saw some vids and it sounds pretty good! cheers again.
@richardbuenoz dude. in this video he doesnt use an amp. gets his bass through an audio-interface to his MAC. he starts Garageband, and ads there the chorus.
in your videos are you using the neck or bridge pickup? also, are you using the TBX circuit rolled on or off? also, your videos inspire me to play my bass.
that's a good idea, I will make lessons videos about guns n' roses basslines soon ! keep watching my channel & videos ! Do you have any videos or something about your cover band ? Greetings from France.
@gkjh9519HD hi my friend ! it's the garageband's chorus in my videos (no amps, i play trough my audio card). On live I use a boss CEB-3, pretty good chorus, like the CH-1
@WaldoSkillet hi dude, and first thanks a lot ! on this video I use rotosound strings 45-105, but that was for trying, usually I prefer D'Addario strings (much brighter). And yeah, I don't use any amp on my videos, I play trough garageband with some cool bass presets, so it just add an 4 band EQ, a light chorus, that's all. Tone you heard is the natural tone of the Fender jazz special
@niuulo No pedals, just adding some effects in Logic Pro. There is a chorus, compressor and a bit a EQ of course. But in live, i use a Boss CEB-3 and a Boss CS-3, there are great pedals. Hope it will be helpfull dude !
@cecco8 alright ! so first, plug your bass directly on your mac (it's better trough an audio device like I do with my Terratec DMX6 fire) or use an adaptator (jack to mini jack) to plug the bass on the record input of your mac (I never try this...). Then, in garageband, select the preset "sparkle bass" in the bass presets section. That's all ! have fun !
