As a Vietnam Veteran ... I just want to say ... I don't need any war !!! We don't need any war !!! All they do is support the Military Industrial Complex ... Eisenhower tried to warn us ... But very few heard him ... Obviously !!!
This song is more relevant today more than ever in Ukraine, Palestine and in my country Colombia, I live in Bogotá, in addition to working as an Industrial Engineer which is my profession and which has helped me have a good economic situation in my free time i volunteer in several ONG that try to improve the situation of those affected by violence, maybe my fight is not so frontal but I do what I can to improve the situation in my country, God when can we all finally have peace?
@@waxl4449, who do you think is selling the weapons? Where do you think the money goes? As long as a rich guy has connections, their kids don't have to go to war. The rich don't get buried unless they run out of money to spend.
Some people you just can't reach.....they know nothing but battle - talking is mute in their eyes. And this is what the result is. The US always takes the side of no war but then we are face to finish or resolve a dispute that is going nowhere otherwise. The ones hurt the most are those who do not have any say in the battles that eventually ensue: Civilians. Yours truly, Iraqi Combat Veteran 2008
This song from start to finish, is epic, but look deeper its true, and ironic as well, so many idiots here in the US think its pro US & pro war, when its actually pro World & anti war, showing how blind the brainwashed masses are to not see that to most other countries we are the terror, and the same undying support & loyalty the un/mis-informed sheep in the US have for our armed forces, the countries we label as the enemy, their citizens have for the countries we blow to hell, for issues not our own, for reasons that don't immediately affect us (Eg. We don't get hurt, so none of our business imo), in the history of the US there's been so few immediate concerns that directly affect us, that I can count them on one hand, and i can count with less than 2 hands overall the times we had a good reason in being involved, I dont include helping allys who arent close (Canada, England, Japan, Germany etc. Are the few close allies) a good reason, everything else has been us sticking our nose where it don't belong, and the blind love this song gets from idiotic or blind sheep, who don't even realize what the song is actually about they just hear the guitar, and don't care to listen to Axl that it proves my point, that if it sounds good enough most are unfortunately stupid enough to go along with it, without realizing that by saying they love this song they're actually looking more like sheep, to those who actually listen because it's not a subliminal message, it's blatantly obvious what the song's about.
Excellent video! I will definitely share this on other platforms. Thank you for realistically depicting the horrors of war. Those in our USA right now who are itching for a civil war really need to stop and think what that means. Look at unrest and civil war in other countries. It's easy to just think we'd have a shorter, less bloody conflict here. There is absolutely, at this point, NOTHING to prove that! Looking back at the history our own country, the Civil War was one that pitted brother against brother, friend against friend, and cost the lives of far too many! Whatever our political differences may be, we MUST do all we can to thwart those who would turn back time, to our detriment as One People, united in One Nation we love.
I don't think many truly want a civil war we just want our democracy restored the way it is supposed to be. It's mainly people at the tippy top that need to be gone.
Love this song. But I only paid a little attention to it when it was released thinking it was about the US civil war. I wish they would re release it as "Foreign Wars" and drop the intro. It is a terrific war protest song!
No matter what one thinks of Axl Rose, in this Polɨtɨcal Mileau, whosoever takes this song to heart about polɨtɨcal matters has joined the ranks of the most Based People Alive.
