Both my mum and dad were piano players, my dad in a small band in the 30's. He could not read music but she could. Growing up as a child in the 50's we never had a piano in the home, but I was always enthralled by the numerous piano LPs they had and grew up listening to them. I refinished and rebuilt a few pianos as a hobby in my 30's and 40's, but could never learn to play. On day my mother came over for Christmas dinner and when she saw the piano, she walked over and started playing "Star Of The East"....I sat there in tears, hearing her play for the first time. I never heard my dad play, as he had passed away years before. This man plays with such a passion! So wonderful to hear him:-)

To write music that bridges not only languages and cultures, but age as well witnessed by older guy in grey and the little kid in black shirt who are both experiencing the same feeling, is truly being a the top of your profession. Wow! Simply beautiful. He tinkled those ivories with great mastery. I think that a piano, played properly, can take you to places that all other instruments can't (even guitar). It's just so visceral, evocative and soulful.
