Riffs - Angus young Solos - Slash

This made me realize how Angus' riffs are mostly chords and Slash's riffs are mostly licks. Very different play styles.

I prefer Slash because of his solos but Angus is awesome too Also Slash was the one who got me into hard rock and he also got me into playing the guitar

First of all, Malcom Young was responsible for a number of those riffs, or, at least, had a major hand in them. As did Izzy Stradlin with GnR.

Its more Izzy Stradlin vs Malcolm Young, they wrote most of the riffs, Angus and Slash played the awesome lead guitar, but most of the riffs are written by their rhythm guitarists. Correct me, if I'm wrong 🤔

I love slash for his solos and alot of his riffs are sick but Angus destroys the competition when it comes to riffs, acdc's riffs are the main part of their songs for me while most of slash's riffs are in the background

To my ears, slash soloing sounds like the product of influence from all great guitarists from the 60's to the 90's. Angus Young is one of those guitarists. Angus' tone is extremely hard to match (as David Gilmour says, most of your good tone comes from your fingers) and his aggressive approach to blues soloing is really unique. He could make a guitar wail like no other. Slash has incorporated a bit of that, as well as the likes of Jimmy page, Clapton, Bb king and many others into his own style. And he only seems to get better with time. Angus went hard on tour, but took longer breaks. Slash tours non stop, between GnR and his solo band, if he takes more than 2 weeks off he gets bored. They're both amazing in their own ways, and I can't pick one over the other.

Buddy this was just the best idea. The Most entertaining channel ive seen in years! Ive been a musician for better part of 40 years and just can't get enough. Rock on brother!

Now I know that Slash is a very well known guitarist and is one of my main influences in guitar but I have to say Guns n Roses are still a bit off because of Axel Rose. So in other words I'm leaning towards Angus Young and AC/DC overall because I love the way he plays the guitar when AC/DC plays live on stage.
