Early Wipe always causes some issue with gunsmith when BSG overhauls attachments. The SKS got a complete rework and it appears to have bugged out various parts with Gunsmith Part 4
As long as this bug exists, Gunsmith Part 4 requires a few extra steps, and this video covers both routes so that even after they fix the bug, you will still be able to complete Gunsmith Part 4 quickly and cheaply.
Escape from Tarkov patch 0.13 overhauled the gunsmith task line. Starting at Gunsmith Part 4, not only do we have some new guns to work on, but the order has been heavily shuffled.
My gunsmith guides aren't just walkthroughs on how to build it, but also a dive into how to do them as cheaply as possible.

You can use the SKS suppressor and just remove the rear sight for the 2nd build.

I took off the gas tube cover and rear sight which brought it under 6kg and that let me turn it in.

mine worked just fine, check to make sure you dont have a bullet in the mag or the gun itself. hope this helps.

Make sure the sks you use is repaired I had same problem until I remembered it needed to be repaired

For those who wondering that it's not working. Try the UAS SKS Fab Defense chassis and stock. But I think you need Skier lvl3 for these items.

Make sure you’re not putting in a 35 round mag. Should be a 20 that was my issue

I got it figured out!! As of date 2/12/24 after the patch. Took a lot of time. List of parts Sks tapco intrafuse chassis Op-sks 520mm barrel Sks tapco 6610 20 round mag Op-sks dovetail mount Op-sks dust cover Sks tapco intrafuse buffer tube Sks tapco intrafuse chassis lower rail Sks tapco intrafuse saw style pistol grip Ar-15 magpul prs gen3 stock Rtm osovets p-2 tactical foregrip Op-sks upper band Sks weapon tuning thread adapter Op-sks gas tube *no rear sight but still is underweight if you have it on* Sks ati monte carlo gas tube cover Akm zenit dtk-4m supressor Vomz pilad 043-02 dovetail mount Sig sauer Bravo4 4x30 scope. I hope this helps everyone! Took me 2.5 hours of trial and error. Ending numbers with these parts. 5.917kg 38 ergo 105 vertical recoil 243 horizontal recoil 348 total recoil Have fun peeps!

It's alot easier to do this quest if you have one GP coin and one screwdriver, you get a SKS with alot of the equipment, mechanic lvl 1 and you only need some parts

Peacekeeper 2 has a bunch of lighter stocks thatt meet and exceed all requirements. I only had a PSO-1 laying around and had to adapt a bit.

Congratz on all these great vids! They are a a big help for a 1st wipe player like me. I've build both versions you've shown and both seem to way overshoot on the 350 recoil requirement (by almost 50). Horizontal only is up at 279. I can not figure out what im missing, checked the item list 4 times. All other stats match. Did they change anything in the last patch or am i missing something? I tried other stocks and even put a foregrip on, but i cant get the recoil down enough

For the build to work now you have to add a RK-1 foregrip and the AR-15 B5 Systems Precision Stock instead of M4SS stock. This combo allows you to hit below 350 recoil.

new to tarkov here... What is the WT0032.1? I typed it in and checked flee for all items and couldnt find what that was, where to find it or how to get the drop down option ( during modding) to see what category the part falls under and what/where is the OP-SKS Tapco (beside the OP-SKS UB drop down)? Same issue between the two

The flea doesn't always search very well with weapon parts because of how it sorts text. When looking for weapon parts the best way to find them is to link search a part that connects to them. For the WT0032.1, it is a threaded barrel adapter, so it'll link to the barrel. It's on Jaeger LL2 aside from the flea.
