@@SLICK8116 It's essentially critiquing ones appearance, what do you care with what I've got to say? If anything, you're the cornball who likes their own comments and has their own baby photo as their pfp. If only you knew how much of a fool you'd become.
Won me over when he entered the Rumble at #1 and survived all the way to the end. That along with his weight loss and dedication to learn English. Love a guy who dedicates and works hard on their craft.
@@Brndn350Z I would be okay with Cody beating Roman and then losing to Gunther, but only if Cody gets at least a little bit of a respectable reign, or that'd still not feel good enough.
Was really looking forward to this conversation. As an Austrian, I am so happy and proud to see that Gunther, who is very respected in Austria and Germany, has been so successful and become the best wrestler in the world at the moment.
Most of us over here in Europe have known he’s one of, if not the best wrestler in the world for the best part of a decade now, it’s good to see the rest of the world recognising his talents. LONG LIVE THE RING GENERAL
He's seriously one of the very few if not only one I would be convinced that he could be the one to end Roman's streak and still be the IC champ doing it
@MADGUNSMONSTER nah Roman needs the title off of him. Dudes sitting on his ass constantly while Seth is actually defending his title even without PPVs and a bad back.
When im watching a match with Gunther i feel like I'll miss something if i blink! He's definitely one of the best wrestlers right now. He needs to be world champion in 2024
This man looks great. I'm pretty sure he added 10 years to his life by dropping all that weight. He doesn't look like such a monster anymore but now we can focus on how darn great he is!
He looks way more intimidating to me. He has the look of a guy who turned his body into the perfect weapon without caring about how he looks. He skipped the glamor muscles and prioritized pyre performance. Love it
He should be the face of the company. He brings the prestige back to wwe. Doesn’t go back the social media aspect and entertainer aspect. Just a damn good wrestler and promos 🥳❤️
Gunther is one of the best this generation has to offer. A supreme being, a master in the ring- a defending champion. Takes himself seriously, presents himself seriously. He is that GUY Also glad that his favorite defenses are Gable, Sheamus, & McIntyre.
He doesn’t need to roast people better ^ he’s the ring general. At the end of the day, it comes down to who can beat him in the ring when the lights are on the brightest. Him being the ring general is his whole thing to me.
"I try and get people drawn into the competition when I'm in the ring" Mission accomplished. I haven't feel so drawn into matches since watching Bret Hart as a kid.
Gunther is a one of a kind wrestler. People always talk about "there will never another blank", I genuinely think Gunther belongs in that category not just for his wrestling style, but also the way hos style is married to his character work and demeanor. It's just perfect!
I am just so amazed at this dude’s growth. I remember seeing him in Defy and thinking how much potential he had. He got into incredible shape and has surpassed expectations. His current gimmick is a classic throwback to earlier eras of wrestling. Keep it up Walter!
Great interview, Chris! Gunther is a fascinating individual! For my money, he is the greatest International Heavyweight Champion! You can tell he is grounded and hasn't let success change him. The WWE is very lucky to have him.
I was lucky enough to be at one of the house shows he mentioned where he fought Sami Zayn. Glad we the audience didn't disappoint him because he sure didn't disappoint any of us. What an insane match! I was wearing my GUNTHER shirt of course so if he heard this little middle aged lady yelling at him with a pronounced Appalachian accent - that was me! GUNTHER is simply the best wrestler in the industry and I hope he's around for many, many years for all of us to enjoy. The IRL Walter is a real sweetheart of a person too and I wish him nothing but happiness in his life.
Dang Chris you have been killing it lately now you have Gunther on this should be good. Gunther in my opinion can be one of the greatest of all time his ring work psychology and he's just an old school brawler i love it
Gunther has brought prestige back to the IC title, I respect this immensely bc having a title & not making it everything shouldn't be. Gunther is so believable he makes his art look like a shoot from how hard he hits his opponents. Gunther is a future world champion.
To me Gunther is like a modern day HBK in the sense that he makes his opponents look amazing. Xavier Woods, Drew, Chad and Sheamus' best matches are against him
If vince was still in charge, Gunther would have definitely been lumped with a dancing giant gimmick. So glad HHH sees his potential and he's held the IC title for so long.
Big fan of Gunther!! This interview makes me like him even more. I wasn't really sold on him when he was in nxt UK or whatever but this intercontinental run has been killer.
Chris, I've been watching your channel religiously lately.. never before have I seen interviews like yours.. I'm just barely getting to this video now and you put Gunther/Walter in a whole new light. I love the questions you asked and Gunther really knows how to give the best responses. All around this a 10/10 5⭐ interview.. I can't wait to watch the swerve interview.
That's why Gunther is my favorite he said what everyone was thinking nobody was watching wwe when miz was champion that's why they had rock and Cena keep fighting each other every live event
Gunther an icon in the making. So happy to see him happy, healthy and always providing us fans with quality all around. Thank you Gunther and thank you Chris for bringing us a rad vid 🫡
Gunther should be an example for any wrestlings contemplating the jump to WWE. He put in the work, the effort, he (excuse the pun) is playing the game. And he hasn't even hit his peak yet.
I would love a future match where it’s GUNTHER vs the World Heavyweight Champion. If GUNTHER wins or loses, he will vacate the IC heavyweight championship.
Gunther seems to be in a class of his own. He seems to really understand the business and know that there is time to celebrate, but to keep your eye on the prize at all times. Thanks Chris!
Not because Chris is killing it once again, but Gunther deserves a lot of respect. He was a bit shlubby a few years ago, but he worked hard and got into way better shape. He learned English to the point where he's very fluent. He's obviously worked on his craft. He's gone opposite of Will Osprey and moved to America to attain his goals. And he's been a great, dignified champ who hasn't made anyone pine for a new champ, as he's held the IC a long time. However, it's time to take those belts off of both Seth AND Roman, and one of them need to go to GUUNNNTTTTHHHHEERR!! We need a full heel champ. People actually like Roman.
@@DonaldMeyers-v8c I think it's too late for him. He's not terrible though. He had a decent gimmick earlier this year, when he was down on his luck, didn't he?
It’s very refreshing to see a man who’s involved in such a competitive, ego driven endeavor, be so humble as he is…he embodies what is the lost art of professional wrestling today..believability and in ring psychology..you can tell he doesn’t like exposing the business, and although just by doing this interview alone, is kinda breaking “kayfabe” (if eye dare still use such a phrase) he still would rather uphold that said “kayfabe”..he is an old school wrestler through and through.. it’s great to see someone like this succeeding and receiving recognition for his work in todays wrestling landscape that is filled with a bunch of phony flippy kids who just wanna do spots for the cheap pop.. bravo GUNTHER bravo 👏🏽
CVV strikes again with this entertaining interview! Every single time you uploaded these videos, it seems like you are having the best time of your life and you never fails to make the wrestlers engaged in the conversation! Thanks for the hard work man, keep doing what you do best!
I love Gunther because he's a throwback. Reminds me of some of those 80s power guys like Terry Gordy, and Steve Williams. Little bit of Arn Anderson as well
I respect that part of Gunther not being a celebratory person I do respect Gunther is all about it is cool to break records but you can’t just celebrate yet you got to still be on top of the roster you have to work harder than everybody else that is what Gunther is all about and I respect that
Gunther is the best wrestler on the current roster right now. Also notice how professional he is. He doesn't feel like he needs more or hasn't been given more at any point of time (such as people like Seth Rollins for instance). I love his professionalism and maturity.
I was at a house show November 12th and I didn't realize how tall Gunther is in person . I had floor seats and we were probably 5ft away . I haven't been to Roanoke Va in 7 years. Gunther and Sami did great !
Gunther is a top 5 superstars in this era! Love him and I'm impressed! Royal Rumble and long Intercontinental Championship, should be World Championship soon 😮
The most Legitimate looking part of wrestling for the past year ! From the wrestling to the look and Gunther coming out with Kaiser with the mic gets my watching party hyped right up there with Seth coming out
He made the intercontinental title mean something he made it the Intercontinental heavyweight title, he is more champion than Roman will ever be, the guy legit defends his championships, he has a horde but that horde doesn't interfare in matches, it makes him credible. Just an amazing person, amazing personality, amazing professional! Bless him! I can't weight for him to be World and Inter champ at the same time, will be so epic
I always love whenever Gunther speak German in match like angry at his opponent, he sounds badass. Its funny how he sounds so polite, and sounds so relaxing when he speak German outside his work.
