You're so careful and gentle with the fry. You made sure that not even one fry was accidentally gathered up during the separation of the older males and females. I imagine it'd be very easy to have several losses if you weren't so diligent. All too often I see amateur videos of people who breed fish and they lack respect for their stock. But not you... So thank you for being a responsible and kind breeder.

Today was the first in about 3 years I bought some guppies. They are elephant ears and they are BEAUTIFUL. I’m really hoping they’ll breed but I can’t be sure. Nice video by the way. Great quality.

I came across this video after cleaning out my cold water tank the other day and finding ONE solitary fry! i cant remember the type of fish, smaller than a guppy (i have those too) with a red tail and a black spot in the middle of it. I've popped it in a small plastic tupperware tub in the top corner of the tank so it doesnt get munched. And said baby started me on the pregnant and baby fish videos train - and here i be! Cute video.

You can play with them with a red laserpointer. I use the Laserpointer to bring the fisches in boxes or somwhere in the aquarium.

Amazing Video Sir 👍 Congrats on the 50 plus fry Thank you for sharing . Sorry about the undeveloped embryos but it sometimes happen especially if stressed out. Many times this has happened to me when i now purchased pregnant females from petstore. They sometimes deliver in the bag on the way home. I'm glad to see you are sorting the genders early to prevent unwanted matings. Also I'm impressed with the females. Important Tip i recommend only using breeder females with black long pectoral fins. Any females that have clear pecs shouldn't be used. Most male guppy genetics are dominant however I'm thinking with autosomal genes ( isn't gender link) if both parents carry dumbos traits phenotypes you get better offspring. I believe dumbos are more female linked. By using on both xx xy chromosomes this increases in generations and can create genetic stabilizers. Hope u understand what I'm trying to explain. Can you do a video on the floating plants you use and growing requirements? Also as you have seen first hand with the red light on camera all the guppies are instantly attracted to it. This is why it's so important and also harder to breed albino especially in a community group. The red eyes are a dead giveaway and hence makes them an easy target as the pupil will illuminate once light hits it. Have you ever thought of using a breeding cage for your females. This way you can get higher success in fry and prevent fry being eaten. Best of luck with spawn. Thank you in advance.

I suggest, in order to obtain the largest number of fry, place a large number of floating plants, such as foxtail. I am amazed that you passed the female immediately to the males, it would be much better to put it aside for a while.
