I was in medical school briefly about a decade ago, so I don’t remember the specifics. But I remember learning something about how holding your pee too long and waiting to go to the bathroom can cause irreversible damage to your kidneys, and as someone who had one kidney scare already for other reasons, that terrified me. So now I always try to make sure I go to the bathroom whenever I need to.

That's exactly what came to mind when she mentioned retired. I think partially because there aren't a lot of examples, at least out of people I watch/have watched before and are big. The only other person I can think of other than Jerma that's retired for the most part is Pewdiepie. I think because streaming is just a career that you can't really age out of and there's no set schedule unless you put one on yourself. Also a lot of streamers that still do it even if they don't need to anymore do it because they like to.

It's not often but I've gone 10 hours without peeing before and that's with drinking 2-3 gallons of water during that time. I was working outside and it was quite hot so I sweat it out instead. Honestly I hate those days because I feel like crap that day and the day after.

Funny that she thinks people in medieval times didn't wash their hands. They did, just not with a sink or running water. They used their mouth to lick their hands clean instead of wiping them on the wall of their homes. I know this because genius that I am, I wrote a paper about TOILET PAPER'S HISTORY way back in grade school, which was not as funny as I thought it would be at the time.

@@TeladosBack then, every morning, each household would collect fresh water in buckets (or jugs) from the local water source (usually a river). That bucket of water would be used for daily cooking and drinking. At home, people would use a laddle to spoon the water to drink or place in cooking pots to boil, or pour out to wash their hands if they were dirty.

_Partially_ retired. Pretty sure it was mostly a jab at herself for how little she streams. I may just be projecting, but I remember that shortly before the extended breaks started she mentioned randomly doing some neurodivergence tests online and coming out with surprisingly high results. That's exactly how I discovered I had undiagnosed ADHD back in early 2020 - which sent me down a spiral of depression, because it re-contextualized my whole past life... If I learned anything over those two years, it's that self-care is never a waste of time. So I'll support her in anything that helps her improve her well-being. Her content was a ray of sunshine that helped me get out of that pit myself after all.

I think its more of the fact she does lots of the idol performances and the offstream works etc (concerts, merch, that dodgers thing) more than streams which is kinda fine by me, because when she does stream it does make it all the more meaningful.

I don't think so, a few months ago she mentioned and warned everyone that she'll rarely stream from here on out. Streaming is no longer their main source of income, so streaming to them is optional. It's the same with suisei, not only suisei doesn't streams as much anymore she also turned off her superchats
