The spiritual way brought by G. I. Gurdjieff has been recognised as one of the most original, enduring, and penetrating teachings of our time. While he used varied forms of transmission - such as group meetings, meditation, dance and music - Gurdjieff gave special importance to the publication of Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson.
This allegory, majestic in argument and scale, ranges in scope from the genesis of the cosmos and the unfolding of life at all levels, through the history of mankind, to vividly detailed portraits that convey Gurdjieff's vision of human purpose in the vast cosmological scheme. It presents an incisive critique of the violence and misdirection in human culture, though it is always tempered by the authors compassionate humour and emphasis on the potential for evolution.
In this book, Gurdjieff speaks a patterned language, unlike that of any other writer, to dismay automatic thinking.

Always interesting your commentaries, Lewis, for instance, the similarity of the concepts of identifying (Gurdjieff) and attachment (Buddhist).

I think I will do a video on this subject. Because at the minute, it’s the main message I am receiving from the book, not to identify, and that this is possible if we so choose and work on it. Glad you are enjoying the comments during the reading my friend. 🙏❤️

I’ve discovered a young man named Matias DeStefano that you might find interesting-has been interviewed by Aubrey Marcus channel and others- who was born in Argentina and remembers past lives in Egypt and other places and describes Egypt and the pyramids quite differently from what we see now. If you’re interested in the metaphysical he is quite an interesting young man and his story does not seem to change over time I’ve watched his interviews.

@@grahamfortune1528 he’s pretty interesting! Haven’t seen him about lately but he does a pretty good job of explaining the dimensions in a way we’ve not heard of before. Something never washed with me about this “evolving to the 5th dimension and Matias made sense of my scepticism

Hey Lori. Thanks for the share!! I am aware of Aubrey Marcus’ podcast and listen often. He has some awesome guests on. I think I may even have listened to a few of DeStefanos conversations with him. I believe in past lives, and past life recall, and so DeStefanos story only goes to confirm things for me. Aubrey Marcus is also doing great work in helping people free themselves from their limitations and to live the Good Life! Inspiration abounds 🙏❤️

John anthony west was a satirist influenced by gurdjieff. It was west that started the debate about the sphinx , he was friends with Graham hancock. I liked west's himour and rottweiler personality.

What do you mean his "rottweiler personality"?

@@RafaelSkywalker he wasn't shy. If his critics attacked him he would attack back. My favourite quote of his is when he was asked "was his aim to convince his critics " his reply was" "I don't want to convince my critics, I want to annihilate them. 😁
