My dad used to have a mk2 GTI back in the day. Mum told me he was crying for one when they got married as he wasn't sure if he could afford it then 🤣. Did it up and actually got featured on a car mag. The funny story is he put it on sale and someone called about it saying they want to feature it on a magazine.

I had the mk2 16v 87 plate and 30 yrs later, I still miss the cars character and drivability. Happy days. Marriage/kids = VW Touran 😭😭😭
