Some people need to grow up. As a cuban like Gurriel, we would always make jokes of people back in the island. And nothing was ever intentional. It was just part of the cuban culture to laugh at their own misery. I think the U. S is hypersensitive when it comes to rasist matters. We can’t even take a joke. Yet you go to a comedy club and asians, latinos, blacks all laugh at their own differences and at the end of the day everyone is good. Hipocrates. What yuli did there was not offensive. It is not the one who said it but the one who is told it that decides whether it is a joke or not. You should not assume that the common sense of your country is the common sense of the world.

You would only feel safe in your own house. Perhaps in your own community. In the US, we have freedom of speech because we push buttons perhaps seriously, perhaps humorously because we want to get to the bottom of things. But when someone comes along and says, "I decide what is a joke and what is not, and I decide what can be said and cannot". That my friend is the definition of hell. Don't like my jokes, don't listen. Don't like my company, leave or I leave. Once you understand that all human interaction in the US is voluntary, then nothing should bother you. No one can be truly protected of a joke in a true society, not even the president.
