I saw the entire 6.05 mins and surprisingly enjoyed it too..😇 I guess these two must have attained nirvaan by just playing that instrument.. Some might call it art and skill and focus and enjoyment and thrill and precission and valuable.... But there are even those who will wonder what is so great about beating a mud pot. Its just a humble mud pot afterall.!! I know some people like that who will value things only if money can be minted out of it.
Simply superb , perfect coordination , great korvai , two different pitch , left hand gatam and right hand gatam is visual treat to watch - B.P. Haribabu
I am curious… The Ghatam artists take of their shirts to crest a specific sound with their skin. Is this possible without taking the shirt off? I wonder how female ghatam players accomplish this?… I know Sukkhanya Ramgopal is one of the few well known ghatam players …
Yes, it is a simple piezo-electric transducer, simply glued to the Ghatam. Requires a simple little amplifier to go into the loudspeaker system. I once had one glued onto the inside of the skin of a shaman drum with which I performed some years ago.
