Understand the channel 9 team had 8 games to cover, but they didn't mention that this was almost a reserve grade Warriors team that beat a 95% full strength Panthers team

Tuaupiki needs to be there, I also like Ali Leiataua, these 2 need to be developed and held onto. If by the end of the season we don’t make the top 8 ( which is more likely than unlikely) we need to at least develop our next generation.

Is SJ the issue? TMM is icing these tries but SJ cant and is Pompey better at center instead of RTS? Pompey runs the line better at the try line

Nah TMM's last tackle options (he was MIA at times) and kicking in first half were poor not even NSW cup level.He is a good halfback with has light feet and is deceptive but he is not in SJ class by a long way. SJ has iced more tries in his career than all but a few other very elite halfs = to say he can't ice tries is ridiculous. Walker created the space in the middle for the tries out wider when they were down a man. I would move RTS to wing and give him a roving role to use his skillset then bring young Ali into center but he is injured so Pompey for sure.

@jackohere1878 true. I agree SJ is better overall especially kicking game. I still believe pompey needs to be on the field. He runs the line better and has a passing game. RTS to replace Montaya maybe.

@@SlickTrades Yea I don't "get" why RTS is even being tried at center.He is 30 yrs old so why take time for him to learn a new position when we have other centers of NRL standard.RTS would have far more freedom as a roving wing where he played for Chookies in a premiership winning side so he knows the position well already to use his obvious running game and he could swap with CNK at times like he did with Minachillo many years ago at Chookies

No doubt the panthers have been flat the last few games and someone was going to knock them off, they have been well and truly poached to death and the warriors are a team that has benefited from the panthers development system. Fish next year and Jett Cleary are just the latest. I thought the Yeo sinbin was ridiculous, penalty awarded, quick tap and the bloke ran straight into Yeo, Yeo did not move in the 3 seconds from when the penalty was awarded until the bloke ran into him but that is nrl. Grats to the warriors on the win and I hope it is the start of a run, I would also like to see magic round in Auckland.
