What a beautiful sound! Listening on my EQ corrected headphones Chris´s voice sounds so natural, while the guitar separates so well, and the bass feels amazing, punchy, clear, articulated, never boomy! Do you think the R26 would be a big step up coming from an Ares 2? Thanks!
Night and day difference. Which I was a bit pissed of with to be honest. The Gustard is just better in every way . Hard to explain. Just loads more depth and musicality.
@@beslemeto yeh and the terminator , but the years I've done this hobby I've learnt not to get on the hype train , so I went and got one🤦🏻♂️😆. I was going to get the Venus .
@@redleather100 It's not just hype.I am doing my researches very well before i buy something and never get disappointed.I've read so many articles where people say they like it more than Pontus,Venus,Terminator or some Schiit stuff...Are you using LAN connection?That port suppose to give you the best results..To be honest i did not like the sound of R26 from what i've heard on RU-vid...
@@beslemeto I watched the Thomas and Sterio video with the chap that borrowed all the dacs and he preferred the Venus in the end because of the bass and voice . But we don't know how his set up sounds , it could be on the thin sounding side , A bit like mine . But I use a dali p-10 dss with the epicon 2s and this dac tracks the bass like nothing else I've heard . It hits hard and tuneful. And every thing falls into place .
that epicon cabinet is suposed to make it sound better😂...sounds like the artist is trapped in a barrel ... I think the Rubicon 2 sounds better w/ pair of rels
@@redleather100 its just the videos i guess...if you listen to all the epicon 2 demos on utube, they sound like the someone put the speaker in the kitchen cabinet...I have rubicon w/pair of rels and looking to upgrade...was going to get the epicon 2 but now i'm thinking the Totem element fire V2...i just received the Dali special edition black rubicon 6 and sending those back.
@@briancampbell7712 the epicon 2 is a great speaker you will not be disappointed . I ran them with the top end dali sub p10 dss which I still have . I now have some monitor audio platinum 300 mk2 With a pathos inpol heritage.
