When he talks about destruction he just means painting over it yes? He’s not talking about physically destroying the canvas like what Bacon did sometimes by slashing it, setting it on fire etc

It’s wax museum!

Went to his show at Tate modern this summer , liked his earlier work , the later stuff was derivative and frankly poorly conceived and poorly made.
