It’s not just Tim Anderson. It’s ownership, general management, management, coaching; and the entire core. Anderson was the spark plug in the WBC. On the Sox, he’s just another lollygagger. This organization needs a hard reboot. It’s not going to stop. I’m willing to bet that nobody on the Sox is willing to accept the problem.
yes. changing the players and coaches without changing the dead heads in senior positions is just more of the same. The Sox have been one of worst franchises from an ownership perspective for decades and that has a direct effect on the whole organization. They are like the Washington Commanders in that regard.
It would only be a start. That team is full of lollygaggers. Just watch the Sox play. In the WBC, Anderson was the spark plug. On the Sox, he’s just another lollygagger. It starts from the top down. They need a new owner, GM, manager, coaching staff; plus they need to dump their entire core. This problem will not go away with the removal of one player.
No one move changes and fixes that organization, Reinsdorfs gotta go. Front office has to go. Coaching staff has to go. Pretty much everybody should be shopped, moved, or just let walk. But theres NO WAY Hahn, or Williams, or Reinsdorf can be trusted to create a winning atmosphere regardless if they have a roster full of allstars.
Cueto called out lazy players last year and Hahn got mad at him. This is why Cueto was not re-signed by the Sox. The Sox front office does not want to hear any criticism, not from players or fans. That is why those cowards cancelled Sox Fest. Middleton spoke out because maybe he cares about Sox fans who supported him and doesn't care if he burns bridges with Hahn the clown.
Work on your reading comprehension. Nothing like that was said. You might also want to revisit why Aaron Judge took TA's side in his conflict with Donaldson.
@@cygnusx-3217 when you refer yourself to someone who changed history in a good way. It's just very arrogant and ignorant. Him thinking he's Jackie Robinson to change baseball from a no fun league into a league where you can do whatever you want. including being a huge douche and starting fights which gets you knocked the fuck out because you have a glass jaw. Obviously Donaldson was mocking him for his comment. For as much as I dislike him I don't have a problem with him doing that. Probably because I'm doing the same. He should have kept Jackie's name out of his mouth!
How many times has TA been suspended now? He started last year suspended for assaulting an ump and said he’d do the same again, which he did when he again was suspended later that year for assaulting an ump. I believe the total is six now. Dude is a disgrace
I think ball players are too soft and don't put out their best efforts. Running hard to first (or the next) base to force the fielder to make that good throw. Study pitcher's tendencies. LEARN YOUR CRAFT! If I made 13 errors in a half a year, I'd get fired! Sore muscles mean that you're out of shape. You're a professional ball player. People pay good money to watch you play. They deserve your best performance! Ask yourself: "What can I do to make myself and my team better?" Try that before your start whining about someone else! Oh yeah, GOOOOOOOOO White Sox!
Who would want Anderson? No power anymore, bad defensive and a cancer in the clubhouse. Yea, sign me up if I’m a gm….he’s playing his way out of the league….good riddance…
White Sox fan here: Until you have a new owner and a new front office nothing will matter. They don’t draft well. They don’t develop players well. They refuse to pay market price for premium free agents even when they have the payroll space to do so (See: Harper, Machado). When they fail they cope with that failure by getting combative with the media and with fans. The whole thing is broken. There is zero accountability and a toxic culture of excuse making and laziness. People like making jokes about the Sox and attendance, but the team actively does everything they can to drive people away. They think bobbleheads and T-shirt promotions will distract from the fact that the on field product has mostly been 🐕 💩 for decades. White Sox fans are passionate but man, they’re driving the fan base to apathy and resignation because owner and GM won’t get out of the way, even when they know they’re the problem.
I said it once and I'll say it again; Jerry Reinsdorf sabotaged his own team by stepping over Rick Hahn and hiring Tony LaRussa as manager. He NEVER should've managed that team again regardless of what happened in his first year back. That team was up and coming, ready to take over the Chicago baseball scene, and Reinsdorf screwed everything up by handing over that talented team to a 70+ year old has been to try and right a 35 year old wrong. It was just the dumbest move they could've ever made. I don't care what anyone says, the hiring of LaRussa was the MAIN reason for the downfall of that team. If they had hired A.J. Hinch, they'd be a perennial playoff team with the exact same core they have now.
I don't know if TA is the reason for all this but the team will look very different next year. Grandal, gone. Andrus, gone. Clevenger, gone. TA, probably gone. Gavin Sheets, maybe gone.
How can LaRussa have been “part of the issue”? They were better last year with LaRussa than they are without him this year. I’m not a LaRussa fan-at all-but clearly a lot of people owe him a full apology, instead of the half-assed version from Ken here.
@@nomercyinc6783 If managers are irrelevant, then why have them. It's a manager's job to keep the team prepared to play. To put the best available players on the field in that particular circumstance. Players have to play to the best of their ability. Managers have to make intelligent decisions. Easy to say. Hard to do.
Among those who actually studied the play TA is congratulated for standing up to a bully who grabbed at his crotch and stuck his finger in his eye over a soft tag. Jose Ramirez claimed it was a hard tag. Ramirez still hasn't apologized for instigating the fight over a clean tag.
If youre going w/ the angle Jerry is loyal, he is also a cheap owner who doesnt like losing money.. just from the factor Im surprised Jerry hasnt let Hahn&Williams go because they are costing him money. Jerry's whole approach at player development is cheap. What reason would Reinsdorf have to be loyal to Hahn or Williams? All theyve done is lose and blow money. He either tries to develop players through the farm system w cheap contracts or signs washed up veterans. I'm a life long White Sox fan, but I feel like nothing will ever change unless Hahn/Williams are let go, and Jerry Reinsdorf sells the team. Literally, any other job or career if you've been terrible at your job, unsuccessful and havent done what you said you were going to do, you would've been fired a long time ago. With Hahn and Williams its been well over 10+ years since they were promoted to their positions and its been bust after bust. Even the 2021 season they won the ALC division pennant by losing lol. The Sox needed to win something like 5 games before the season ended in order to win the division before the season was out and they couldnt even do that. Then Hahn acts like he's a genius because they won the division even though they got obliterated by the Astros in 4 games. Even Hahn's "rebuild" which took 6 YEARS was and is a bust!
The solution to the problem is Reindorf selling the team to someone seriously building a team to win. Reinsdorf baby is the Bulls and his attitude will not change.
The more I see leaking out about the broken, dysfunctional culture of the entire White Sox organization, the more I wonder how the blue hell Hawk Harrelson was able to put up with and work for this "team" for so long.
@@CloudWatcher500 Not buying it. Middleton was probably a little pissed off that he was called out on something he shouldn'tve done while others weren't.
I don't have the statistic in front of me, but When TA is in the starting lineup the WSox have a winning record. When he's not, they're sub .500. That may have changed the past couple months. Don't know. *Update:* The White Sox had a record of 42-37 with Tim Anderson in the line up in 2022.
the White Sox are better off with an entirely new 26-man roster, doesn’t matter how they build it, but even with what they have, Luis Robert included, this team isn’t ever gonna get it done
In september of 2021 I went to a whitesox/ Tigers game in Detroit and what I observed was stunningly disturbing bad behavior by Whitesox players- all of the bad actors being blacks and hispanics. I got to the game early when the gates opened. I noticed White sox fans at the game and they were ignored by most white sox players, there was almost no interaction with fans, no joy, no enthusiasm on the team. About an hour before the game several players took part in this little game where they each threw baseballs from the dugout to see who could get the ball to land closest to the 1st base bag. Only trouble is a Detroit policeman- one of Detroits finest in blue was standing in their way- they threw the balls anyway narrowly missing him- he looked over at them but his stare was ignored. Ofcourse the issue was not whether they hit him or not with a throw but that they would even come close or disrespect the Cop like they did. Tony Larussa did not enter the dugout until 5 minutes before game time. Near the end of the game Jose Abreu started a fight after getting hit by a pitch. Imagine- days before the playoffs start and Abreau is risking an injury for his own selfish reasons. The pitch was not thrown at his head and the Tigers tend to be a good sportsmanship team. Anderson. Abreau,Jimenez, Moncada,Grandal and the centerfielder are all low character punks.
