Many don’t look deeper than the quick meme etc.. my 6 year old daughter fell for an ad against Trump in Michigan it says “ we as women cannot go back, Trump will take us backwards “ . She heard me watching Trump speak and said “No mommy we as women can’t go back, he is bad.” I had to try to educate her gently about lies in ads and politics. I was truly shocked our kids are little sponges they absorb input much more than a lot of parents realize, no matter how stable, safe, and structured we make their lives this stuff will filter in, and we must talk with them to understand the things they learn and correct the wrong information. Don’t just let them sit on a tablet, ask questions at dinner and bedtime it’s vital.
In Germany in 1995 I saw how their tax system works. Each household is taxed on everything in it. That’s socialism- they would put tvs,stereos, huge cabinets and furniture that they accumulated through the year to the curb so as not to be taxed on it. Any luxury. The soldiers would have awesome barracks rooms setup just by collecting and essentially helping them alleviate their tax burden. The Germans worked hard for little luxuries, yet got taxed big on them. We don’t want that type of system here.
