All that said, I don't like the image of US Marines standing about like toy soldiers. They can keep the uniforms but be properly armed. They will have to be given an extra allowance to but new uniforms that will fit over body armor. That's how a US President should be protected. Use the USSS as needed for everything below the POTUS but the POTUS deserves the best and that's NO the USSS..

I left 17 years in a medical field because of lack of accountability, laziness, and unskilled management. I'm several years, and tens of thousands of investment into a mechanical career, and it's the same. There's a huge age gap in qualified/experienced people and the next crop, there's no-one around attempting to make themselves competitive, and there are ZERO incentives to give extra. Literally no return. I'm getting paid less than what it takes to come to work prepared, but at least things don't come in dying. I'm extremely glad you took it past DEI and put a finger on Accountability. People have been lacking integrity all around me, for my entire life. It's a real hell being one of the last honest people, but I do it so I don't have to live with being a scumbag.

Even here in Daytona Beach Florida. The #1 complaint of businesses especially restaurants is not finding good help or new hires don't want to do their job or are late constantly. At my job a new hire was no call no show and expected to be paid because he was scheduled 😮
