Jazz-fusion band "The Aristocrats" (Marco Minnemann - drums, Guthrie Govan - guitar, and Bryan Beller - bass) gave three mesmerising concerts in Vladivostok and Nakhodka in December 2012. Their visit was supported by the U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok, Primorye Regional Philharmonic Hall, music clubs Shiber and Cat'N Clover. The project took place under the auspices of the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission.
Джаз-фьюжн группа "The Aristocrats" (Марко Миннеманн - ударные, Гатри Гован - гитара, Брайен Беллер - бас) дали три незабываемых аншлаговых концерта во Владивостоке и Находке в декабре 2012 года. Их визит прошел при поддержке Генерального консульства США во Владивостоке, Приморской краевой филармонии, музыкальных клубов "Шибер" и "Кот и Клевер" под эгидой Двусторонней Российско-Американской Президентской Комиссии.

Aristocrats is probably the only band where no one dominates over the others in music which usually is the case in many supergroups. Guthrie, Marco and Bryan each of them leaves an equal distinct appeal to their music which blends in so perfectly. I don't usually like to say this...but Aristocrats is THE best band of this generation.

I'm a big Dream Theater fan and you are totally right. The things Marco did this year are so enormous. Masterpieces of creativity and performance that could't have happened if he joined DT!

So much fun! Was there any spot in that in which you got the feeling that one of the band-members was saying, "Oh, yeah; look what I can do!"? No way! Here are three guys who understand very well that music is not about showing off your chops. They have plenty--PLENTY--of chops, but never once did I get the impression that someone was show-boating. Absolutely fantastic performance, and a lesson to the other mega-musicians out there on how to approach music. It's not a competition!

I try and i try again to listen to this kind of written music. Amazing wondzrfull musicians playing very hard things with great skills......but.......so boring to listen . I can't find there not even a lirtle bit of what i fell when i am listenning to a good old elvin jones . It is cold . Very very cold.

Dear Alexo1954 , you probably know that everything is in the hands of people with big vision! Here in Vladivostok, we are tremendously fortunate with the one outstanding individual who has the vision, ready to take risks, make history and create from the scratch; and he is insisting on being unadvertised... Meanwhile, he listens, hears, sees, understands, and knows what matters in the outcome. Thanks to him we've got this unique opportunity, and a couple of other life-changing experiences. We just hope he keeps going, overcomes all obstacles, and manages to break all stupid bureaucracy walls and stereotypes!!!

Alexo1954 we have had both Guthrie and Marco here in Australia during the last 12 months , Guthrie played a solo show in Adelaide and Marco toured with Joe Satriani , unfortunately still no sign of the Aristocrats doing a much needed tour down here !

Yeah it's either that or an urgent replacement, I suppose. But when you know parts of his gear were stolen in italia (including his black suhr guitar I think) anything goes... I was iniatially thinking he got a partnership with marshall maybe.
