@adamadel999 It's not just that. The zombies are damned souls from hell who got to the overworld due to hell being overcrowded. To avoid being infected, you have to repent of your sins. Priests are naturally immune to the blight because they are men of God.
One time when I was playing Copenhagen to get the badge, when we got to the attic fire part. Everyone else but me and this Luigi Person died. I was the one putting out the fire and Luigi was defending me. He killed a total of 679 zombies without getting HIT a single time. We put out the fire in the attic effectively clutching the round , and we made it out alive with Luigi being the only one that truly survived from start to finish. we were legends in that server. Where ever you are Luigi, You were god tier.
Here's the lyrics i heard over the song (might type a couple mistakes) Britannia they expected! Great new's from our fleet! Commanded by Lord Nelson! the french for to meet. We fought on the deep! We cannoned on the maine! In the Battle Of Trafalgar! Where Nelson was slain.. He was this brave commander! That sailed the ocean wide! He made the french to tremble! With his terrible broadsides. One Hundred Fights he'd been in! And never once was beat! Though he'd one arm And one eye the power cut him defeat! This bold undaunted hero On the quarter deck he stood! You would admire his actions! With the decks awash with blood! Then aloft high in the rigging! A Frenchman fired a ball! And that was the cause of our Great Lord Nelsons Fall! He says unto his captain "How does the battle go?" I hear the big guns rattle though death is near i know." Eighteen we have captured! Our men they are on board! And will blow the french! From the ocean my lord! Come all you bold britains! May the bottle go round! For Nelson was loyal! And true to the crown! Is a hail to all seamen! That speak of him good! God bless our King and the Great Lord Collingwood! But Mourn, England Mourn! Mourn and Complain! For the Loss Of Lord Nelson! Who fought along the Maine! Mourn, England Mourn! Mourn And Complain! For the Loss Of Lord Nelson! Who fought along the Maine!
The French guy who got the kill: “OH MON DIEU, VOUS VENEZ DE VOIR ÇA?! FAITES-VOUS RUINER, NELSON, VOUS ÊTES NUL!” (OH MY GOD, DID YOU GUYS JUST SEE THAT?! GET WRECKED NELSON, YOU SUCK!)
His Majesty's Brig-Sloop Crew did nothing wrong here. They were trying to protect the rest of the world from The Blight, and us players were the selfish bad guys trying to flee, regardless if any of us were infected.
Fun Fact: During the War of the Third Coalition, Lord Nelson commanded the British fleet (along with Vice Admiral Collingwood) in the Battle of Trafalgar against the Franco-Spanish alliance near Gibraltar on October 21, 1805. Instead of having a traditional navy battle in which ships would sail in parallel lines and fire their cannons at the sides of other ships, Nelson sailed his ships head-on into the French/Spanish line, cutting the French and Spanish lines into three, and capturing 21 of the alliance’s ships and destroying 1 out of the combined 33 ships of the French and Spanish fleets. The British won the battle, but Vice Admiral Nelson got shot by a French Musketeer and died shortly before the end of the battle. The British victory ensured British control of the sea and canceled Napoleon’s idea of invading Britain. Nelson’s death but victory in the battle (along with many naval victories of his before this) resulted in him getting turned into kind of a “legend” for the British.
@@TjugoTusen1) Fun fact is just a way to say you have an interesting fact. 2) It’s interesting because it’s a story of unusual military tactics winning a key battle and immortalizing someone as a legend.
He secured Naval Supremacy for Britain for the rest of the century till before WW2 as the United States and the Japanese Empire rise to Naval Prominence
actually accurate lyrics here: Britannia, they expected great news from our fleet Commanded by Lord Nelson, the French for to meet. We fought on the deep, we cannoned on the main In the Battle of Trafalgar where Nelson was slain. He was this brave commander who sailed the ocean wide! He made the French to tremble with his terrible broadsides! One hundred fights he'd been in and never once was beat! Though he'd one arm and one eye, no power could him defeat! This bold, undaunted hero, on the quarterdeck he stood! You would admire his actions with the decks awash with blood. Then aloft, high in the rigging, a Frenchman fired a ball And that was the cause of our great Lord Nelson's fall... He says unto his captain: "How does the battle go? I hear our big guns rattle, though death is near, I know..." "Eighteen we have captured; our men, they are on board And will blow the French from the ocean, My Lord." Come all you bold Britons, let the bottle go 'round! For Nelson was loyal and true to the Crown! Here's a health to all seamen that speak of him good! God bless our King and the great Lord Collingwood! But mourn, England, mourn, mourn and complain For the loss of Lord Nelson who fought along the main. Mourn, England, mourn, mourn and complain For the loss of Lord Nelson who fought along the main...
@@dmetrykremenetsky2755 no i believe they were just trying to make sure that nobody who might be infected escapes the city. they were preventing spread of the blight.
Yeah, though if this was actually in-game it'd make it a lot more emotional. The ONLY reason I found out these dudes were singing, was because I died early in Copen and went to check out the Brits. I heard them singing this, and I literally said: "WAIT WHAT?! THEY CAN SING?!"
One time in an arcade server (Therapist baguettes server (on his most recent livestream in think) ) Therapist managed to glitch it and the boat sunk and we were all stuck at the last respawn, we also got to hear the full version of this song.
I remember hearing this in Battle Sails, suprises me to hear it in Guts & Blackpowder too. Puts a smile on my face. Good memories, I'm glad to make more in G&B.
@@Mr.Potato2900 Grapeshot doesn't do much damage to ships as round does. Grape is meant for anti-crew purposes. The most it does is embed itself into the hull it hits.
People be like: At least music is better now compared to 200 years ago Also 200 plus years ago: Surprisingly an absolute banger of a song of a British dude who sunk the French fleet and died in battle
The differencemaker being that the san and vardo PNCs are rescuing us, while the brits were given orders to quarantined the city and kill anyone who tries to escape.
“God bless their souls in this life time of crisis of the canibals who haunts us in the darkness, taken men to the shadows as each men taken one by one till one petal is left like a garden…”
I was looking at this now seeing if they actually sing it, but I was going over to the ship. I didn’t hear them sing it. What triggers is it or is this just something?
The first humans to be actively hostile to the player? That took a bit longer than I thought it would Whole ahh undead apocalypse happening, though their be complete anarchy to be honest
They probably didn’t think people were gonna pull up with boats, so They only had grape shot to shoot people on land, which are very ineffective against boats. If they had roundshot they would absolutely destroy us.
This came up on my playlist of patriotic songs while the new G&B update for v12 came out. At 12:48 AM EST as I'm writing this comment (the update probably released earlier, I'm not sure, but it says it updated on 31/8/2024 for me. So yeah.) This was my cue to play G&B. GOD I LOVE THIS SO MUCH.

Who made this rendition? This is the best version of this song to me, I searched for other renditions of this song after I watched this but this is the best version I heard! Was this version made specifically for Guts and Blackpowder? This is such a banger!
@@bromhead nope I don’t think there’s a version like this on RU-vid (unless it’s deleted). There’s a video that came before this by Meepman and there’s a version made by Robert White in the description so I think that’s the original but it’s unavailable.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7IXMSmXtkfA.htmlsi=NxUv0x9HwLXhWP0q The og version ( yes they took it and added the whistle, cannons, voice acting, exct)
dont really hear the t in 'cut', it sounds much closer to 'could' which is the correct word in a few other slightly different versions of the song i found
