I get the salt, but to be fair the result was quite justified and they showed mad respect to both characters. W episode, I feel like you didn't give Dimitri or his analysis his fair due but I get it. You had your boy to root for.
Guts is a solid guy, but he is just a human being with no magic, just raw strength and abdominal willpower. Why I enjoy guts character over most shonen, they will become god's by the end of their series.
If Death Battle actually went further into what the Tragedy of Duscur is, think the Rosewood Massacre of 1923, or that movie, but in Medieval Times. Just look up his best friend Dedue and you'll see what I mean. When they were framed for the Kingdom's brutal deaths, the people of Faerghus decided to genocide them and it was racially motivated. Dimitri, still traumatized from seeing his entire family's bodies, still had the fortitude to try and stop and protected some of them and vowed to vindicate them because he knew they had nothing to do with it. Even let a large amount escape. I love Guts, but Dimitri got BLM in his bio.
I will say this is good reaction there i remember theirs one reaction video I saw the guy just completely skips Dimitri's part. Only to get completely salty when guts lost then doesn't finish the rest of the video even go as far as false reporting the video like come on.
nothing gets under my skin more for reactions on DB than someone skipping the analysis, getting pissed when something doesn't go their way, and don't even watch the post analysis to justify
@@mechamanw668 To be fair not to those people, but DB is known for purposely choosing the one who should lose just for reactions, and also leaving out a lot of context and sometimes using false information.

Sweep is definitely not the word I'd use. Bro almost lost, and probably would have died had Guts not ran out of blood. You saw the same fight I did. Still though, big ups to Dimitri. Let Guts die standing and went to fight for him.

As a mega fan of berserk they were correct on who won sadly like I love guts he’s the most badass character in my op but badass does not equal to power especially power that can destroy a forest so yeah Dimitri def wins this sadly

As a fe fan who knows very little of berserk. They used some of the most bs logic to scale dimitri to be so much stronger and faster than he actually is. Fire emblem is about armies defeating armies and so sick of people claiming edelgard and dimitri 2v1d their final bosses just because IS didn’t animate every character into the final cutscene due to your army having the chance to be anyone. Also, they wanked the javelins to high heavens too. Two couldn’t even destroy an entire fort and if they were even near as big as db claimed they would have vaporized everyone behind rhea who didn’t even take a direct hit and the explosion radius wasn’t that big.
On the one hand, i agree that interroute scaling is wonky to say the least. We don’t really have anything to suggest Dimitri is equal to the Immaculate One aside from Rhea losing to Edelgard (+army) and the leaders being equal at the start of the game. I get that thematically they should be roughly on par, but attributing the win solely to the Lord doesn't really make sense when there's around 10 more people involved. On the other, though, their logic wasn't flawed at the Javelin of Light part. Per lore, they fired on Gerreg Mach, were diverted to a forest, and produced the Valley of Torment. Given they wanted Rhea dead, it's not a stretch to say that they used all of the javelins they had, hence why they assumed 6 as a reasonable baseline. All that logic is fine, and they even mention that the difference between that blast and the one Guts survived was monumental, and even if you said it took 100 javelins of light to produce the valley, its still dwarfs Guts' feat. The game being inconsistent about how devesating they are is not a fault of DB.
@@PhantomNull13 the core issue though is that the missile that hit shambala left a very measurable hole to scale by with rhea’s human form to scale by when she jumps up to it that is only 7.5 tons of tnt worth of damage and was fired in the same volley that hit rhea which has a similar blast radius. So, to scale to the valley of torment, you have to completely ignore the scaling of what actually hits her, yes, this the javelins are completely inconsistent, but it makes zero sense to just completely ignore that the scale of the explosion rhea was hit with scales millions of times weaker than the valley of torment. It would be different if we didn’t have that hole in shambala’s ceiling but even so, like you said, scaling the lords who show nothing beyond wall level feat’s without this based on this is quite frankly ridiculous.
@firenze6478 you know, I'd forgotten that one hit the first time. I remembered Rhea breaking through the ceiling, but you're correct. One hits the ceiling, collapses it, and then she runs out and transforms. That said, i don't think it's necessarily wrong to keep the valley in mind, as we have hard confirmation that they were used there too, to great effect. They used the valley to show what this weapon is capable of in order to hype Rhea tanking them later, only to fumble it at the 1 yard line by having the ceiling collapse from a Javelin instead of just showing him opening the ceiling to let them in or something. I'd still chalk it up to a narrative inconsistency. I can think of any number of headcanon reasons why, but I can certainly see the confusion. Personally, I'm fine with it because while that makes no sense, it was clearly intended to be a massive threat, but I can see why it'd be somewhat downplaying Guts to say he died because of this thing, which varies from "Guts literally couldn't care about it." To "Life wipes the entire Berserkverse." Depending on the moment. Ultimately, while I love find problems with DB's methodology, I can't say they were wrong here. Either they use the lore's level, which stomps Guts, or they cherry pick the individual example of it NOT beating Guts to justify Dimitri losing. Either way, people complain and they lose. I can't fault them for saying, "Here's what the game says. Don't like it? Blame Intelligent Systems for not figuring it out beforehand." An inconsistency is on IS, not DB.

But I digress, I don’t really care that guts lost, I just don’t like that it’s because of setting breaking stats that should allow dimitri to bust fortresses and create earthquakes which he clearly can’t do. They were both horribly hyper wanked in speed, since the notorious dodging light or sound (even if nothing else even implies super speed) has been adopted. I just wanted this to be about their abilities instead of a flimsy chain scaling wank that combined dimitri with a spin off and made him a master of magic and proficient in all classes at once while ignoring slot limits( which is impossible in game.) I mean dimitri can’t even use magic as a great lord but because they used the flashy exaggerated animations from warriors ( that made tingle and agitha monsters capable of defeating ganon in Hyrule warriors) they gave dimitri an advantage he shouldn’t have canonically had. There’s even a support where he struggles just to heal a tiny scrape to show just how bad he is at it. Being honest, they could both one shot each other, even with their inflated stats.
