Ok, I know. It has been a while but I promise you we did manage to get home from our European Adventure. Watching this has made us long to get out touring again! We have booked something and we can't wait to share the details of the tour - 44 mountain passes!!! So excited. Anyone, we took a wrong turn when riding through Bruges and ended up with some unique footage. Rural France is beautiful and fun to ride! I caught Carolyne saying, "I wonder what breed they are?" when you stopped by those white cattle. I don't know if anybody else has answered that question here, so in case nobody did, here's your answer: They are a French breed called Charolais. It is among the heaviest of cattle breeds and is bred for it's meat, being the most popular beef consumed in France. Sorry for showing off..., it's my agri' knowledge pushing it's way through. You nailed it exactly with your comment about motorways! Side or secondary roads are a lot more enjoyable to ride on and they offer much better scenery! This series has really been very enjoyable for me. It was so nice to "see" parts of Europe that I once lived in and traveled through over 20 years ago! mosquitos indeed an issue in the summer heat. I remember once hanging out in someone's back yard when bombarded by the bugs getting some many bites of toxins I felt a woozy buzz falling over me.

Done Bruges then down the West coast of France in 2008 as a novice. Survived the experience(and the tolls roads) but the ferry journey back to Rosyth, Scotland was the worst 23 hours of my life. Edit...forgot to mention Paris. If you ever go back don't do the camp site on the Sein. You'll be lucky to get out alive.

Awesome again. Glad to see you back. Riding in the heat can be brutal. I have to force myself to wear a long sleeve shirt to avoid the sunburn because I don't always put on enough sunscreen. It get into the 90s F, 30s C, here in South Texas. Gloves, sunglasses, short sleeves and helmet make for some strange tan lines. Can't wait for you next adventure.

Those were Charolais cattle, not as good as Aberdeen Angus. You need a window shield on your bike. Beautiful scenery and country side. Well done! 😎👍🍻

Those cows look like Charolais which are native to France but also very popular over here in the USA 🇺🇸. Omg the 🐝 stings😳! We had 70° in February in Oklahoma today unseasonably warm which means knees in the breeze. I enjoyed a short 100 mile ride. Cheers.

Nice place to ride it looks like. im in Tampa all winter and Michigan in the summer 👍 Michigan is nice to ride for the most part lots to do and see .but south Florida the traffic is nuts 85 one minute the next your stopped in jams and its 90 😂✌️ Ride safe 😎

Summer 🌺 here is around 25-30 most of the time I have a Harley textile jacket 🧥 with mesh allows air to go through. You Have to test ride the low rider ST with the new engine OMG plus it’s got a fab speak system. Thanks again

I just started riding in late 2020 at the age of 51. On my second Harley now, just traded in my iron 883 for a ‘21 low rider S. Can’t wait to do some real miles on it. One thing I’m finding out about riding is just what you were talking about…..”motorways” or highways we call them here in America, suck! I don’t mind a back highway with less traffic where I can do 65-70 mph but everyone here in their cages are in such a hurry and want to go 80+ mph everywhere they go! It’s cumbersome when car after car wants to keep passing you on a two lane highway because you’re only going 10mph over the speed limit instead of 20! It’s pathetic! Well, my new FXLRS should have a much easier time keeping up with all the “speed racers” everywhere as opposed to the 883 which had its struggles at anything over 60 mph.

Like the low riders, Sportsters are fun though. Back roads are far more to ride.

When I was in Europe, decades ago, It was routine for someone to throw their cigarette out the window when passing someone on a motorcycle with USA plates. I have two scars from cigarette burns, hit at the throat and dropped inside the jacket. One of the many problems of riding a bike without a windscreen. I've only been stung when a hornet got in my helmet, but then, I took a large raven in the throat once, so I recommend the hornets, unless you are allergic. I think I'd have been knocked off the bike if the bird hadn't hit my rear view mirror first, ripping it off and softening the hit I took. Look into MSR fuel bottles. They can be a life saver, if you don't depend on them too much. Always better to NOT need to use them.

Hi Dex, thanks for watching and commenting. To be honest, in Europe you should never run out of fuel, we just kept thinking, next one. Can imagine a bird strike would be bad. We do have screens just prefer not using them. Would do if we rode faster roads/motorways more often.

The breakfast is very appropriate for you guys are on a long journey to your next destination. Your Helmets are they custom made with the different characters? I myself am a fan of many and i would have to buy the sticker with all the characters together example, the Simpsons, Family Guy Etc. I have to say your music selection is totally beautiful. That's all Caroline needs is to get bitten by Mosquitos also. Peace.

@Bunny King Hogs That's easy. Fly into Atlanta rent the bikes there. Ride up through the Blue Ridge Mountains to Knoxville TN. Then ride the Tail of the Dragon and other really beautiful mountain roads. Then head south to the Florida Alabama (Florabama) line. See the beaches. Then head west on I-10. All the way to the west coast. Stop and see things and sleep on the way. Then head north on the Pacific Highway. Go all the way up and over the San Fransico Bridge. Then head up to Portland and then head back east. Go through Sturgis South Dekota during the bike rally. Then head towards New York State and Niagara Falls. Then down to New York City. And then back down to Atlanta and fly home. I figure a month. You'll have more fun with meet up and live podcasts and all the folks will come out to meet you when you are staying in a place for a day or so. Seems easy to me. But I'm here!

Going to need to get a windshield dear. I know the book camera is important. But the bee stings will make you lose patience and concentration. I've been strong a ton on my Low Rider but never on the Electra Glide (batwing).

Agree, but we had a choice between heat stroke in leathers or ride carefully on quiet rural roads. We have better summer gear now

Yeah you talk about getting stung by a wasp I was riding home one day one flew up in my helmet and stunningly right beside my eye I'm allergic to bee stings so I knew I was getting ready to have trouble I headed back home as quick as I could by the time I got home my I was swelled shut LOL and I couldn't hardly get my helmet off the whole left side of my head was swelled

Hi Sarah, on this trip we had fodsport system, but you could only chat to each other. We have upgraded to the Sena 20s Evo which allows you to connect upto 8 people I believe

We had been riding for 9 hours, stopped to look at the view, whenshe tried to rejoin the road, there was massive lip to get back on the road, plus the steep angle, she tried to put her foot down but there was no floor
