Much like the fishing communities of West Africa, the fishermen and women processors of Kalk Bay share a special connection with the sea, as fishing is inherently part of their culture and heritage - a tradition passed on from one generation to the next. The ocean is the only thing they know and their livelihoods depend on it. But the fishermen’s bounty is dwindling...
NOW, our new documentary "GUTTED", shines a light on how harmful industrial fishing has stolen the heritage and culture of these fishermen.

Beautiful and tragic film, thank you for shedding light on the plight of Cape Town's local fishing community.

DONT BE FOOLED- I had my car carjacking and stolen there recently and was taken for a 1 hour drive around Cape Town by 3 men armed with knives- all they got was R300 . May look nice but there is organised crime in that area. What about my car you may ask, well SAPS Bellville South impound lot is refusing to release my vehicle, because they have a reputation there for stripping or selling stolen
