Peanut is so cute and I love how dad took care of him and tried to release him but peanut came back and dad still gives him an open door policy. I drive a lot for my job and I see squirrels trying to cross the roads so I talk to them to help them out of harms way.

This had me Googling the life expectancy of squirrels lol. Sounds like, in captivity, they can live up to 20 years. Longer than dogs and most cats. That made me happy to think of these two having each other for that long.

I've seen so many of these that I almost want one as a pet. 😅 But not everything should be made domestic. He chose to stay. And he's a lucky little guy! No telling what would've gotten ahold of him if he hadn't been found. Tons of predators would love a baby squirrel as a snack.

Wow. I can't imagine how disheartening it must have felt to have called tons of wildlife rehabilitators, looking for help, and being told over and over again, "If you bring him here, he's going to be euthanized." I would have absolutely been freaking out in your position!

I would be constantly kissing it too. These animals are so cute and when we interact with them they transfer that feel good factor that comes from cuddling furry cute animals.

And now a warning...I had a pet squirrel. If you’re ever lucky enough to have one as your friend-please protect them by making their environment safe. She got ahold of a lil decorative craft bird. Like the kind they place in plants. A styrofoam core covered with feathers. She chewed it all up and got a bowel obstruction and died in my arms. I didn’t realize what happened until they called me and said her bowels were full of styrofoam and I found the remnants of the craft bird . It was horrible and heartbreaking... Gods Blessings to all who read this!🤗❤️🇺🇸

That's a pretty rare squirrel if I'm not mistaken. Excellent job keeping that awesome little guy safe. It is absolutely a joy to see this kind of humanity in its pure form. We come from nature and are animals that have evolved. The importance of communing with the other species on this planet is not only entertaining and heart warming, but it is true to our nature and beneficial in so many ways. Examples like this are a perfect reminder that our coinhabitants learn so instinctually through emotional connection. Who knows how they could surprise us if we all learn a lil to treat them better.

My mumma feeds birds and squirrels in our garden. And they follow her in the daylight if she goes outside our house,they literally call their mates for the meal whenever she feeds them and they sing to her whenever they're hungry . Its such a joy that she has befriended them and now they aren't afraid of me and my dad.

I used to LOVE this connection until he USED the squirrel to segway into porn. I admired the love between them and the fact he rescued peanut but when he used the little guys popularity to transition into porn and make money...well, its gross and unfair. To see the man do a handstand with his squirrel between his legs sitting on his testicles and reading the caption..."Peanut likes nuts" is gross and disrespectful and then seeing him walk down the hallway with underwear two sizes too small for him with the squirrel's head on his penis is disgusting. I have lost respect fully.

Any man who likes animals is a true gentleman. Animals are wonderful creatures who bring so much humor and love to our lives. This man has a kind heart and I am sure his mom raised him that way. It is a beautiful thing to share - to always love and respect animals. We cannot I've without them.

I loved your story. I too rescued and baby fox squirrel only he was just a few days old. No hair his eyes wasn't open.. I kept him on a heating blanket and took him to work with me every day. His was raised in my office. Before his eyes opened I would frequently lean over his and speak softly to him. His name was scooter. Before long when I would speak to him he'd turn his head in the direction I was at. He grew up loved French fries which he helped himself to and butterscotch candy. He git big. When we had to go somewhere and he couldn't go I'd keep him in his cage. My young daughter thought she locked it and he got out. A neighbors dog thought it was a threat and killed him. I was and still am devastated. I wish I could find another one or two or 3 they are so smart and make wonderful pets. Thanks for posting your story. It brought back a flood of memories

It's wonderful how you treat your squirrel. They are great. I once saved a squirrel also. I found him on his back and bleeding, not alot, but still, he was hurt. I put a hand towel around him and bought him home. I had an empty shoe box so I put hand towels at the bottom and left one to cover him with at night. I served him sweet potatoes and bananas. As he was hurt around the mouth I cooked the sweet potatoes and bananas he ate fresh. He loved them. I also gave him water with a nose dropper. The first time he took the water, he just kept drinking what felt like a forever time. Eventually and slowly he started to eat peanuts. It was heartbreaking letting him go. I've seen him only once since than. But by now he must have his own family. Still miss him.
