I never thought I’d ever feel this much compassion for a spider

*Spider:* "When we take over the world, you will be spared."

Imagine how many spiders will flock to his house once they learn that he offers them free lodging and a pedicure.

I once did this exact thing to a Dragonfly, his wings were all twisted with a web and his hands were stuck together. I sat at my kitchen table for about 15 minutes with little tweezers and needles fixing him. It's like he knew I was helping him and didn't move. I was able to get most of the webs off and his wings started to look normal again. I even had a bottle cap filled with some water for him to drink while I did it. Afterwards, I picked him up and let him off on a plant and he took off flying away. These insects are smarter than we think.

Shoutout to that spider, imagine being unable to move quickly and you have to trust a giant with two huge, sharp objects to clean you off

He’s gonna wake up with a web in the corner of his room that reads “thanks”

I got anxiety thinking he'd pull his legs off by accident. I don't like spiders but I don't want them hurt either

One day, while this guy is being mugged, a thousand wolf spiders will swarm the attacker and force him to flee. Then, the spiders will scurry to a nearby wall and form the words "The debt that was owed has been repaid", and then leave.

Spider’s like “dude clean your house. These dust bunnies are killing me “

This man earned his spot in heaven

Let's all remember: this guy had no guts to touch it but still had the heart to help it. *Let's ALL be like that guy* Edit: all y'all saying "no that stuff scares me" I didn't mean save spiders like he did. I said be LIKE him. Act like him: brave and helpful.

Man: I don't even have the guts to touch him. Spider: You know, I could give you super powers.

After that, This Spider opened up his own business and left the gang life behind him

It's mindblowing, how the little guy is very apprehensive at first, but quickly realizes you're trying to help him, and just let's you do it. Well done. If only more people were like you.

The spider seems to legit realise it's being groomed, amazing.

Amazing how quickly the spider realised it was being helped..and stopped resisting. Animals are much smarter than we give them credit for.

*10 years later* News Article: Human saved by giant spider!

I love how this guy is like "I'm scared of this spider but gonna help it anyway because it's obviously in a bad way." Major kudos and love to you for helping this little soul!

I've done this many times for spiders and geckos. They know you're helping.

"I don't have the guts to touch [him]." That's actually good, because it's fairly easy for a human to injure spiders accidentally while handling them. Also, that's actually a female, and a very patient lady at that! ^_^

Me: "Oh cool. Some guy helping a spider out". This guy: "I don't have the guts to get any closer. Also, this type of spider can bite, jump really high, and move really fast". Me: "What".

The only thing that scares me in this video is the possible recommendations RU-vid might start giving me for watching it...

The fact that the spider is letting the guy even help, as well as COOPERATING with the guy, is amazing to me. And I don't normally care for spiders (though I DO try to release them outside when I catch 'em)

One day, this man got cornered by some gangmembers, about to get mugged, or worse. As the situation descended into helplessness, they heard the skittering of a thousand little feet. The gangmembers turned around and saw with horror, uncountable number of spiders creeping near threateningly. Later on, the cornered man would swear that he heard the lead spider hisses to them: "This guy once helped me, and thus has become a part of the family. "And family takes care of each other."

Spider: "dude you really need to clean your dryer vents"

The fact that the spider knew what was going on seconds later, is mind blowing!

I love how all 9million of us watched this guy scrape the floofs off of this spider spy❤

The fact that the spider is standing still, waiting for them to help him is so precious.

It's strange to think that a spider has the mental capacity to understand that a creature that is ten times its size and is picking at its legs isn't a threat, but is actually helping out. Really cool though.

I will never underestimate the intelligence of any animal, ever again. I've seen divers cuddling with wild sharks. I've seen people getting friendly with lions and hyenas. I've seen crows skateboarding down rooftops off plastic lids. I've seen the great intelligence in octopuses. Now also spiders accepting help? Humans shouldn't be top predators. We should be protectors of all life.

What gets me is that it knew he wasn't going to hurt it. Actually cooperated with him.

"I'm gonna cap him and toss him out in the grass." *Reaches for glock off camera*

This guy: house gets robbed All spiders within a 1 mile radius: *seven nation army*

These people must be pure angels at heart to help a spider.

That's funny the spider is like " ahem....this one, ok this one... Not good enuf... More off please"

What a nice guy he actually had the heart to help this spider when it needed help but most people would squash it

Who else loves it when animals cooperate with humans.

It actually kept calm once it realised whats going on.

I am amazed that the Spider just Stood there, It seems to understand he was being Helped. It was a good deed. ♥️ 🕷.

Wolf spiders are super fast they run so the fact that the spider is calmly letting him remove the entangled stuff on his feel makes me think we know nothing about our universe. Clearly the spider should be running and hiding but he clearly understand he's trying to help him. Jus amazing. Good job man.

The spider is in a defensive pose the whole time, but not once does it strike out of fear of being touched by something larger than it. The guy is afraid to touch it, but helps it anyway. If your in trouble be like the spider when someone tries to help you, instead of lashing out. And if you see someone or something in trouble, be like the guy who helped the spider and do something about the problem.

“We’ll do this one next, alright?” That is the cutest fucking thing I’ve ever seen

Once saved a ping-pong ball sized bumble bee I found pretty much frozen on my machine one morning and brought it in the cab by the heater and squished up some honeydew to let him or her slurp up all the juices. Hung around and landed on me a few times before it eventually could fly enough to let it back out to the chilly spring morning

This spider is smart he soon figured out that this guy was actaully trying to help him so he just calmed down and let him do his thing

The next day Charlie had to do 50 more spider manicures, that's right, spiders use yelp.

A spider was just in my room, so I was afraid of it until I saw how much it was afraid of me. I caught it then put it outside. Now I'm not so afraid of spiders.

Spider: “Everything I’ve been taught about you guys is wrong....”

I’m terrified of spiders but this sort of made me see them in a different light. They may be gross and creepy but they’re intelligent and incredibly interesting creatures

Spider: "Thanks for your help, i'll give you a hug!!" Guy: "i'ts chasing meeeeee ruuuuuuuuuuuun!!!!!"

Beings no matter what type, shape, size, age or gender know when you really want to help them. Because they feel it. Love is always felt, no matter what the being.

Amazing that the spider understood what was happening.

The fact this spider is not raising up in defence clearly shows compassion/ understanding as it is willing to let this guy help.

I actually used to have a spider in my bed room At first I thought, “he is not the first one I’m just gonna kill it once he comes out from the corner.” but then I noticed that he never does, He stayed in that corner. The next day, I noticed that he made a web. And if I got close, he hides behind the closet. I used to look at the corner every couple hours and he’s there chilling and then after a while, he goes behind the closet. After couple days, I was able to get very close to his web and he wouldn’t go behind the closet, Sometimes I pass right by him and both of us wouldn’t even care He knew his space and I knew mine. I used to speak to him about my day. He was a good listener. Several months have passed And he no longer shows himself. I assumed he died. But then he started coming out again. I still think it was his child, it had to be. I am not sure entirely but he looked a bit smaller than before. But he and the old spider shared the same style of living in my room so maybe they were in fact just one spider. But I gave it a new name anyways. The scariest moment was when I came one day and the spider looked huge. I decided to carefully take a closer look. The I discovered that it was actually two spiders fighting. I started getting worried, I thought “ if my roommate loses I would probably find out about it the hard way when the other spider leaves the web and hides some where else in the room planning for his next attack with my name on the top of his target list” The next day, the first thing I did after I woke up was turning my head towards the corner. I slowly got close to the web, and I saw a cocoon, next to it was a spider. I wasn’t sure but I thought he was my spider. I mean he was there, he didn’t disappear or flee when I was getting close to the web. And the one inside the cocoon was the intruder. I was relieved. unfortunately, several weeks after that, he stopped showing up. Until one day I saw a spider next the web, I was shocked. “After all this time, is how you want it to end?!, by me?!” With little bit of disbelief I grabbed a broom and went for it but Before I strike him I realized.... he was already dead “What was it?!, was it hunger?!, or perhaps it was simply his time. Did he knew?!, and If he did know, then why leaving the web?!. Is it possible that he wanted to see the blue sky one last time before he dies?!. Or maybe see it for the first time and see if it is really like how his mom/ dad described it to him. (That is if we assumed that the first spider actually died during the first disappearance.), What if this dead spider just another outsider how died before he gets to the web?!” There is no telling on how those spiders used to think, but there is one thing I am certain of now and that is the fact that they do think.

I didn't think I'd ever see a spider having its feet cleaned.

Amazing how she lifted each leg for cleaning. Wolf spiders are actually quite smart for a spider and take care of their young ones-even adopting ones from different mothers.

I'm an arachnophobe who's just sat and watched some nice but extremely mental guy, defuzz a massive spider's feet, lock down, you're screwing with my mind

This shows the spider's awareness to the situation, which demonstrates how intelligent they truly are. Thank you for this, Dodo, and thank you to that man for helping that spider.

Even for someone with arachnophobia like me, this was wonderful to watch.

I have so much respect for this guy. I've tried to do this with a large spider that was stuck and I tried to help it but then it got out and I ran faster than Usain Bolt.
