What will happen is: the water is heavier than oil so ice melts immediately and goes to bottom of fryer and when it supper heats to steam it causes a boil over. A boilover (or boil-over) is an extremely hazardous situation in which a water layer under a pool fire (usually an open-top tank fire) starts boiling, which results in a significant increase in fire intensity accompanied by violent expulsion of burning fluid to the surrounding areas

i mean its a natural response. the basket with ice in it is clearly the cause of the issue so one would assume taking it out would solve the problem. is leaving it there supposed to be the smarter option?
@@sampsqwantch4612 I mean technically? The oil is so hot that the ice goes in and turns to water then steam in 5 seconds max. Hell it might even skip the liquid step altogether so taking it out in the middle of the reaction will do nothing but risk injury therefor waiting would be the smarter option.
No just a stupid response. The answer is yes leave it in there, because there wasn't anything there to take out. Was he supposed to separate the vaporizing water from the frying oil or reach for the melted plastic and heated metal handle on the now empty fryer basket. All restaurants kitchens are like that. Even your 5 star restaurant. I’ve seen the most nastiest things in those places. That I wouldn’t even accept free food.

You should not eat any fast food and instead binge watch fast food employees being disgusting. Race and neighborhood don’t matter. It’s a job no one feels like doing. Everyone does the bare minimum until it’s time to clock out
@@chipbutty3645 good for you. Can you also see how they care for the products. When I worked in fast food the shake machine was right in the front but no one knew it barely ever got washed. I’m surprised no one had a allergic reaction. Meanwhile they looked at me like I was crazy when I washed it out. Ilk

😕Here's the worst part; I didn't search for this, it just showed up in my feed, AS I'm sitting here eating leftover Popeye's chicken fingers from yesterday! I didn't even put 2 & 2 together until the 2nd time I watched it, and I happened to look down at my plate.... I just hope to God that ^this wasn't recorded in the Wilmington Popeyes!🤢
@@brendakeller9646 No was endangered of life. Like op said at worst someone would have gotten first degree burns from oil splatter. The entire area was caged in steel, ain't no fire starting there. ofc still a dirty place and a stupid thing to do but eh.

@@GW71093 Sure.. thats why immigrants come and get paid less and work twice as hard as these people. Its not the pay, its the person. I was getting paid 12.50 2 years ago at Subway… did my job right for 2 years and I knew damn well to get paid more I had to go else where. Never took it out on the business or wasted their time
You know... I was gonna try Popeye's whenever I found one. I think I've changed my mind. That kitchen is in a horrendous state, and he just threw that cup into the fry thing, contaminating the fries with whatever bacteria that's on it.
