Denny that whole journey was a mini class in sociology and geography combined together. And your early morning run to the markets displaying the fresh produce possibly hand picked or caught the day before certainly reinforces your President Irfaan Ali's initiative of "Farm to Table" concept which he touched on the Davidsbeenhere Guyana 🇬🇾 vlogs. This should be encouraged, as fresh foods in a pot equals better health and nutrition. Waiting on your follow-up of this trip. 🛶

At 1:08, Denny says, "We're about 100 feet from Suriname". But last week (and according to Google Maps), he said that Suriname's border is at the West of that river. That means that the whole of the river belongs to Suriname (I wonder how that happened!!). So actually, as long as you are travelling along that river, you are in the country of Suriname.
if u had know history the dutch was in control from abary to suriname , and the reason for them to still control the corantyne river, the british thought they can bully but the dutch didn't care less

And I don't know what the chip on your shoulder is about British history in South America. I would rather have been born in British Guiana than Dutch Guiana.
@@ArroEL922 firstly, you can read that the individual English proficiency isn't great it could mean that he doesn't mean it that way. Secondly, both British and Dutch history in South America were never good for the people that weren't white and even for the poor white people it's been bad historically, that's why people have a chip on them shoulder. Also it's Guyana and Suriname, people don't like the old colonial names otherwise people would have kept it, hope you have a good day peace.
Bai, FYI: there is still a border dispute between Surinam and Guyana over the New River triangle (The Tigre Area) conflict started in 1969 and controlled by Guyana and claimed by Surinam in 1971, both countries agreed that they would continue talks over the border issue and withdraw their military forces from the disputed triangle. Guyana has never held upon his agreement. probably both parties are still in talks to resolve their border issue.

Half of the Courentyne river should belong to guyana. This is a case where china is claiming the entire south china sea and is having conflict with all his neighbors like japan, vietnam, australia, phillipines and indonesia. Common sense would say that half of the river should belong to guyana.
