Thanks for the nice Sunday driving tour of GT.....good to see how things are slowly changing....you are right about the lighthouse being a possible tourist attraction. Based on your video GT is still very recognizable with some of the old buildings still there like Shanta's roti shop on Camp St. Demico house was there a long time....I remember Brown Betty ice cream shop, by GPO. Bookers also had a snack bar that used to sell ice cream and milk shakes. Comments about the GT Mayor and city council is getting into politics. That topic needs an unbiased analysis of the structure and functioning of MCC. Even in Toronto, they have a big deficit that rewuires increased property taxes. Same aspects of funding definitely needs the national governments help. In general vending stalls are congesting the road traffic and seem to be out of control. Probably a building plan will fix that situation? the city has to clean up the streets and drains, so the vendors have to be permitted by a licence and charged to have a stall. My 2 cents....and thanks again for your video.
A happy Sunday morning to Mikey and Denny. Regent Street in the yesterday years was alway busy. I cannot believe there is so much Chinese stores there now. Seeing these places makes me feel like coming home to Guyana. Stay bless.
I visited that light house. It was a school trip . It was scary standing out there by. the rails , but the view was wonderful.Wish I could do it now , too old .🤣🤣🤣🤣
In develope countries, their popular cities have tall towers with restaurants and other amenities open to the public. Maybe Guyana needs to start building a few to attract more tourism.
Wow, it's such a wonderful view from up there. Thanks for taking the time to share this wonderful video Mr Danny. My skin crawls when seeing you guy's climbing those steps to reach at the top of the lighthouse. How many steps does the lighthouse has??
Hi Danny good to see you and Mikey hanging out, hope Mrs. Lynch and the girls and crew are all doing well, nuff love and respect my brother, great video as usual
Good morning Danny we always use to have a lot of Chinese in the olden days but wow more Chinese All the Guyanese left the country, What’s the name of the church ⛪️ when u were leaving the ground with the kids playing hokey, beautiful Guyana, 🇬🇾 thanks for sharing this is a really great video 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
A Blessed Day to you and your Family. Please stay safe. Just sharing this information with you. I now reside in the USA but own a home in North Ruimveldt which was occupied by some relatives for 20 years. They refused to pay even a small rent even for the upkeep of the home. Not even weeding the yard. After she passed and much pleading they moved out but ripped out all electrical wiring and throw away the key. I have completed all renovations and furnished the home with the intention of visiting shortly and returning annually. To my dismay a few weeks ago the house keeper reported that someone broke into the home and emptied all its contents. They took beds ( all made up), 3 piece chair, coffee table, dinette set, gas stove and all utensils and wares. 11. Gallons of concrete paint, garden hose, shower Curtains, bathroom rugs , electric fans outdoor plastic chairs and 2 barrels of household stuff etc, etc, They took everything. Strangely no one saw. So so disappointed. Starting all over again is gonna be rough. God knows who the culprits are and will avenge the criminals in his time. The Police visited and did not even dust for fingerprints 😢😢. Anyways, continue with the work you are doing and again stay safe.
Back in the 90’ and early 2000’s it was possible to tour the light house. The pass sold by Guyana Stores or Guysuco offices for $100 GYD. If i remember right. Someone can correct me if i am wrong. It is an iconic lighthouse.
Loving ❤❤❤ ur channel from trinidad 🇹🇹... Plz shout out my hubby Pattis in ur next video... he been to Guyana many times but watches all ur video...hoping to visit soon n meet u guys...
Danny, I enjoy your videos, however you need to invest in a good wireless microphone. Several times I couldn't continue to watch your videos, because the background noise drowned out your voice, and I couldn't hear anything. Thanks! 👏
That lighthouse would cause too much chaos as a tourist destination. For one the engineers would have to approve it . 2) you have to pay a security guard to make sure to keep things in order 3) that lighthouse is not much of a nice view around it . its all old buildings and loud factor's. 4) the most important factor , it will just be a hot spot to jump off and commit suicide. Guyana is rank top 3 in the world for that ,
