The bugs you see running around are bioactive isopods. I caught a pair of Guyana boas breeding last night. When breeding boas, the male will do a lot of courtship before actually breeding the female. Tail wagging and seeing the male's tail under the females are signs of actual copulation. I've got low confidence that this pairing will be successful, but this young male is putting in the work.
