hi i have the same radio only problem i have is it only tx on certain bands. the band its tx for a couple of seconds ant help would be great

I used a ' Thinners ' specifically used for PCB work called ' Humiseal ' .

I've been offered a well working 440 with no solder experience it worries me this could be a fault down the line with it

Easy fix though .. If the radio is fully working now , And in good condition Ide jump at it if it was me .
