2018 - ran this whole thing, got Assassins + Hidden Rooms, got to Betty, only to discover I evidently missed a Bauble somewhere. These achievements are punishing, as a single mistake can effectively waste an hour or more.
Anyone in 2020 this 100% works. Be careful look over everything. Just did this yesterday using this guide. Again.... It 100% works. If not that means YOU messed up somewhere not the guide.
Thanks for the video, still works 2024! one tip: you don't loose the keys anymore when you die, so instead of running around carefully as in the video, you can just jump off and die with the key in ur hand and go back to the checkpoint. I wish this video could be split up into 2 videos as I didn't need the assasins anymore and had to skip alot of it which can get confusing keeping track of 2 things.
At 6:27, you can stand a little farther back and higher such that the assassin is lined up with the stone block, as though you would have to shoot through the block to hit him. No hopping required. At 33:55, a dodge roll jump makes this leap easy. Simultaneously hit V and spacebar (assuming that V is your dodge key and spacebar is your jump key) and hold them down until you land. I find that without doing this, I tend to bellyflop my landing and bounce off the roof.
Holds up today in 2022. Just completed it, took me a couple of hours (played is slow and steady so not to make any mistakes and have to redo). Thank you.
+Dulfy In regards to the Piranha Pagoda, I can replicate that glitch. The hitbox for the chainsticks apparently goes straight up from the player's character, making it able to kill enemies one floor above.

Pour les babioles, il faut absolument utiliser le mode infantil et suivre rigoureusement le chemin pour revenir à l'aigle raccourci, sinon tout est à refaire (compter env.45mn pour les babioles seules) It still works in 2023. For the baubles, it is absolutely necessary to use the infantil mode and rigorously follow the path to return to the eagle-shortcut, otherwise everything will have to be redone (allow approx. 45 minutes for the baubles achiev alone)
Thanks so much for this guide it is amazing, you deserve all the praise in the world for it. It might be the madness from doing this but at 29:39 when the anotation says "Don't fall to your death or you lose the key" I just burst out laughing when I read it.
Thank you so much! Works perfectly in 2018 although I want to second that we only got 12 assasins at around 37:18. So if you find less, don't worry. Followed everything to the letter and we got both achievements (baubles & assassins).
As of 22/04/21 this works 100% Just got the "Become the Master" and "Bachelor of Baubles" achievements. . Fair warning , make sure you have plenty of time before you even attempt this.
amazing guide still good for 2024 thank you! its so vile and awful how the Shortcut Eagle gives you a late game checkpoint instead of letting you reset.
At the 37:18 mark it should say 12 assassins here and not 15 which correlates with your teamscore/assassin count going from 75/67 to 87/79. Other than that, thanks for the guide as always.
On the Push Block Pagoda, here's a trick to finish it quicker (this is also very helpful in Tribulation since the cloud chases you at this part) You only need 4 pushes. ONLY PUSH the blocks that are next two each other. There 2 groups of 2 block. Just push those and all 4 sides will be safe.
@@erratusenigma5747 I just watched the whole guide, talked to Betty and she says "bla bla bla bla ..." where "..." means I am missing something. I was about to have a mental breakdown but then I noticed there is the last bauble at the boss, I took it and then Betty said "Bla!" and "!" means you got them all.
At 28:13 and 32:49, the trap arrows is glitched. It has been fixed - when I went through it 10 times, I died each time... Had to go get the gong upstairs.
did everything exactly the same, got the achievements exept bachelor of baubles i think i saw one of the assassins buged through a wall though, gonna retry :D
It's possible to backtrack almost all the way to the eagle in normal mode. You can't make it back to the eagle's island, but as long as you've done everything on the eagle's island (and before) you're all good. Just don't activate the final checkpoint on the level as I believe that one (and the one right behind the gong/bell) are actually a point of no return.
Update: after 3 hours of life threatening stress, having to backtrack to the eagle 3 times because I couldnt do the jump, loosing several continue coins to those crazy fish and almost giving up several times I finally did it! And now I shall never return to that asylum! Thank you so much, couldnt do it without you!
Folowed exactly the video, counted all the baubbles, avoided every mobs except assassins, got none of the achievements; another 2 hours wasted, thanks game...go to hell anet.
