[GW2] A Basic Guide to Combos

I know it's weird, but I've been meaning to do a guide video to combos for a very long time. You might be surprised at how many people I run into that know very little about them, and that's OK considering it's not something that's explained really well in-game.
Hopefully people will get some use out of this video, because Combos are an aspect of GW2 that I kind of love.
Also, if the numbers on the combo effects don't get updated with the new balance patch, they might end up even being more useful than they are now.

What if there are 2 combo field overlapping? Which will apply? Also. Which stats will apply in regards to the condition or healing these will produce? The one who created the combo field or the one who did the finisher?

Very good questions! With two overlapping combo fields, I'm pretty sure it's the first field created that gets activated. As for the stats, I'm 99.9% sure it uses the stats of the person who did the finisher.

A funny thing, actually projectile finisher doesn't add the effect to the hit, but rather applies it when the projectile passes through the enemy. You don't see it often as in 99% of cases it's the same thing, but you can see it on mortar kit. Stand in the freeze field, when you aim mortar1 behind a target it gets frozen, when you aim it next to the target (but the target stays in AoE range) the finisher activates but there's no effect.

My fav is using reaper shroud 2 "death's charge" to stealth in a smoke field. The sneakiest ball of death u never seen!

Gw2 should sometimes ask if you want infomercials and this (or some other similiar kind of tutorial alike) would just pop up if you said yes.

Nice guide. I remember when I first played gw2 in 2014, I got bored because I was just spamming abilities on cool down as an engineer. But after doing some research, the combat is actually pretty in depth.

Combo fields are the staple of most healing builds out there. Consider making a video on a build in action that relies heavily on fields to exemplify. I would offer to help but I live in the other side of the anet server known as NA =\

what is sad is that mesmers only get one blast finisher so when I started making alts I was like OH BLAST BLAST love using them. BOOM! thanks for making this guide boots
