Hey Berry, this is literally why I think your videos and content is way better content than a bunch of other contributors, because you keep it real. You legit talk in way more detail and don’t only talk about the dreamy perfect scenarios where a person could push 1,2,3 and LOL all the way home. Keep it up man. Your commentary is funny too.
I just started taking Mesmer seriously. Been watching various guides on how the heck I'm supposed to play power mes in this current meta. I know this video's a couple of years old, but I feel like the advice still rings true. At least based on my experiences with trying to open up with that GS burst combo XD
I just came back to GW2 and still have a lvl 80 Mesmer (I quit playing 3 months after release). It has taken me some time to get use to playing Mesmer again as well as trying to obtain the appropriate gear (it was great when I left, but not so much anymore). I WvW with my Mesmer at the time and while I wasn't the best I enjoyed it. I remember hiding a lot and throwing images at people from behind rocks or cliffs as they passed as well as stunning other players and buffing people. I'm sure the WvW has changed a lot since then though. As for your suggestions about not standing in red circles, don't back pedal, etc? Anyone who has played any MMO should be following these! I know some may be new though.
The most surprising part of that is you found condi herald :D anet tryharded to kill them. Other beginner (myself when i started) mistake is, to dont shatter if you dont have clones. I was using shatters only when i had 2-3 clones xD
Imo timing makes a big difference, mesmer players can easily hinder their own damage output, every action needs to be somewhat calculated and decision making should be relatively fast and most decisions require pressing buttons in a quick succession and prolly needs to be readjusted in the meantime, but no other class gives the same amount of freedom, which is the problem and the solution itself.
this is true unfortunately for most ppl they quit before they get to the point where timing is their issue :< i think mesmer just needs a little more and it would be in a better state for ppl to learn
this is for all classes doing '1 -2 shot burst ' combos...and it started with theif ...BUT can be done on hammer guardian spellbreaker scrapper holo weaver and others . fresh air ele w/e not reaper so much cause it's necro, they dont have power to supplament quick burst ... unless you want to flood condis with signet of spite and BiP , but not very fun
Currently playing with the GS/staff build and can say i def love it. im a PVE andy still and ive not quite understood how the clones/phantasms work. -sincerely an ex ranger main
Your shatters self shatter too so being ontop of someone does more dmg. Ppl won’t let u walk away either so yes sometimes you’re going to be in melee but u being in melee with out bursting is a disadvantage for you
