You can use SAK 5 to mark the east side of the platform, so everyone can easily check where is the safest spot from the eyes. You just put the light orbs before you start the fight, and they’ll still remain there until the end
never stand in front of the aspect, it can still choose someone else in which case you will break the tether making him stop doing the mechanic for a while then targeting again at random, this makes you lose a lot time to finish the mechanic and probably wipe the party, best is to always split and stay still between the aspects
Hi Vallun, just got into cms recently and this guide is perfect, explaining all the mechanics as they are happening and then showing a commentary run is imo the best way to explain it and i really enjoyed the guide, left a sub :) are you planning on making guides for the other cms as well in the same fashion?
About the dread eye you die if you stare at 2 or more eyes. Sometimes you are positioned so that you cannot avoid all eyes, then it is best to look at exactly one to get feared and not die
This is a really good guide thank you, haven't gotten a kill yet but being patient and also playing specter has made my runs fairly smooth so far. That last phase is just very chaotic right now for me.
very awesome guide. i have 2 questions though, for 33% tether phase, do 5 people get selected or 4? in vid it showed 4, but unsure if mechanic was updated since upload and i main heal so VERY limited time to travel island and kill. idk if teammates just not grabbing it or i need to do 50k dmg as healer in few sec also, specific to herald, is there something i can use similar to your signet usage for the fear if i mess up by chance? for as punishing as this frac is, timely and 1shot, i dont want to ruin ppls experience for deaths i can potentially avoid appreciate any and all insight (:
stun breaks work on fears too, and i believe it may only be 3 or 4 for the mechanic, for sure not everyone but i dont think its easy to control who gets it
after doing killing my teather npc, I use the mushroom to get back and immediately get teatherd again? and at this point i dont have enough time to kill another one and we wipe? what am i doing wrong? this only happened so far when a group member has died. Should I just stay on my platform until everyone else has killed their npc too?
CC'ing give the boss Dread Defiance, which makes subsequent CCs harder and harder; it also lower the Exposed duration. So, isn't it better that we don't CC early on?
At 17:00, what do you do if you aren't a class with a shroud or distort? I take a lot of damage being in that red aoe. I tried to dodge at that phase and got hit by fears because it changed my positioning.
I've only completed this on NM, but after watching this video I don't see many differences with the CM in terms of mechanics, only more punishing? Am I missing something or is this correct?
@@nick0123210CM feels more engaging than nm. There is a lot to learn and easy to fail and lot of insta kills. It brings more shine to gw2 combat that they advertised when they made the game that is no holy trinity. We still use boom giving class but it feels you achieved victory not by doing giga dps but following the mechanics and the fight In a word, it's challenging
