I like using Donimir as a defender to protect Foltest, have Roche: Merciless to get a commando out, and Sabrina as a 1 power disloyal to make sure Roche will be able to get a death blow to summon a blue stripes. She also does 2 damage to everyone on the enemy row so that helps too. I like Voyimir to give all commandos health and armor. I forgot the cards name but it is a beast card that can move 3 cards to another row. That way I can fill up two rows instead of getting locked out on one row. e been going back and forth between using Draug. I definitely like using Draug but he costs 13 provisions so sometimes I switch him out.
Very nice.. Really liking your version of the deck.. Seen a few, but I always felt it was not optimised wel.. Maybe Voymir would be good as some suggested.. But I don't feel it's a needed card to add.. Thanks for the share, gives me food for thought on a possible next deck to work towards.. ^^
Hey man! Have a question for you, or anyone in comments. For this deck do you think it’s better to have a 13 provision Draug or are there better cards/a card to replace him with? I have a good win rate either way but I’m always torn between Draug or having other cards like Queen Maive. What do you have more success with? Draug or no Draug?
@@SpeciSnap I do see both being very good! I'm hoping everyone forgets viy and I can use my vamps. They are an underated swarm killer imo. Viy you just can't get the wide bleed down. I'll probably be making a NR and SY swarm deck to be honest. Love the mechanics
Ran into this a couple times already. Possibly the greediest deck yet. I used to play commandos and tried Foltest with them for a bit. I went back to standard commandos as it felt more wholesome. Using Renew (on Pavetta) with a Foltest commando deck makes it extra, obnoxious. I suspect it could be fun to Mill though. Greedy decks usually are.
Incidentally, the counter is to have enough lock/removal for siege support and commando/Roche. Because its so greedy, players have to be careful with their Inspired Zeal leader charges. If you don't counter well, its 3 rounds of 8-9 commandos on a row (35ish points). Super greedy players will even try for more than 9 commandos on multiple rows. Its ridiculous. I guess its a deck that a Viy player can love. Pretty much why I won't play it myself.
Philippa is better than that card, it gives you 2 points per coin, apart from the fact that you draw its ability (order, etc), on top it gives you 3 more points
Yeah but Phillipa is a 10 provision card. My argument (and kinda a bit jokingly) about Tax Collector is it's a 4p card. It's just really really really good, there aren't any other 4p engines with such good stats
Turning Foltest into an engine that procs itself is so stupid. I don't get why they keep making cards that need 0 setup and do everything themselves. Makes the game too simple and boring.
It is absolutely usually, but you never want to go Oniero into AA in this deck, you need to Oniero for Roche/Pavetta/Draug etc. Hence why it also includes John. Commandos is the only archetype which playing Oniero and John is the right thing to do
