Great video, wonder if you did make the other videos with the improvements you mention in the outro, I do not see any videos of you talking about the improved starter decks.
Hey mate great video! On the next one if you can also look into the reward tree where you get some of the good faction units, that way new players will know what to grind first in the reward book.
See........ this is the kind of beginner tutorial that I needed last year (Skellige Warrior Meta. Forget what patch number). No one made this, not even the developers. It's not even in-game, lol! Maybe they were hoping that the descriptions of the cards would be enough for new players to figure out how to make decks. Thanks for making this!
Good review, Q! Thanks for making this video. =) If I were starting now and choosing something with an upgrade in mind, I'd choose Monsters (all-in Wild Hunt is an easy choice) or Scoia - though that Syndicate starter deck would've been a dream start for the newbie me!

I am new to gwent but have nearly 25 years of tcg experience including magic, pokemon, yugioh, heartstone and esl. Your input is of high quality keep it up 👍🏻 The Monsters Starter was my chosen one and i did not like it as Dominate is a win more mechanic. Besides Keywords and the wild hunt type it also lacks synergies. Out of the faction cards Bruiser, Nithral, Striga and maybe navigator, hound are ok but is it enough to build around? Foglet is a must have for the starter deck i think, alongside the cards of the monster tree. Not sure though if it would be worth it to make it an devotion deck as it lacks tools to deal with several problems.
Hi i am from the FUTUREEEE i was starting to play Nilfgaard because i love doble cross and i was interesting in a update guide of how to improve this kind of starting decks (the ones that actually give you the cards not the ones that are just to try)
Some starter decks are manyfold better, cus of newbie book rewards. You see, monsters have many strong pointslams and frost units in newbie book, which allows to turn basic deck into competitive one. But Nilfgaard book, sadly, rewards cards which you already have unlocked from start, so copies turn into tiny bits of dust and it won't give you important nilfgaard cards like terranova and they all cost 800 dust, ouch. While monsters have full frost for free.
Quality, pal. What's your predictions for the next patch? I'm obviously hoping for priestess, brawlers, SK and Dwarf Nerfs. I'd like to see compass get a Nerf, too. NG's prophet has to be the worst card imagined 😂 I wouldn't mind seeing something done with heatwave. At 10 Provs it's way too powerful removing 15 provs and scenarios.
Something to keep in mind for starter decks is that they are just that, a start. A learning opportunity if you will. Those decks are supposed to include mistakes that you can find to improve the deck, like putting to many locks in, or devotion cards in non-devotion decks.
There's no way unfortunately. I remember when I recently took a new account to pro I started playing against people who purchased the journey pass or made deck changes while still rank 20+.
For a better viewing experience it made sense to use main account so all the cards wouldn't be shaded out. The starter decks remain the same though for every account. I'll be using my main account to upgrade this decks too since my main focus is to help people with an idea of what to work towards.
