It's doing well I'd say. Queueing up games is fairly quick barely any delay. With the balance council making changes every month, meta shifts quite often. Of course some cards are always gonna be problematic, and the votes are not always well thought out. Only so far you can go with power and provision changes. But so far the council has done well. Pro players coordinate the votes of different player groups according to regions and keep in touch with what starts to become a problem and how to fix it.
@@tejendrachettri5970 What do you think could be done about the reavers to keep them reasonably balanced? I don't know why the devs haven't done anything about them after all this time of players complaining about how broken they are
@@user-sg1hd4yo3p 1st off the devs can't do anything because they've discontinued support for the game for a while now. And i honestly don't know lol. Reavers as a whole is a huge topic of debate. Previously their base power got reduced to 1 and it killed the card. It was swiftly reverted to 2 power again. My thought process is the issue arises because there are so many ways to copy bronze units. NR has a lot of those tools, so perhaps nerfing those will help in making Reavers less oppressive. Megascope is getting nerfed this BC so that's there. Idarran got his power reduced to 5 last BC. Mushy truffle at this point should be considered for a nerf too i think. All in reaver decks are easy to counter since you can see them coming from a mile away. But midrange Reavers which the pros are using on ladder are a different story.
@@user-sg1hd4yo3p I do know why the devs haven't done anything - because you're overestimating how good reavers are and the winrate of reaver decks isn't better than other decks. I know they're annoying to play against when your deck doesn't have tools to deal with them. My advice is to learn how to play reavers yourself and then you will see that a)it's not as powerful as you might think it is and b)what are it's weak spots
@@cpz3000 I actually played a lot with reavers and had the highest win streak playing them, you need to be heavy on control to shut them down as soon as possible or you're doomed
Every time i see Northern Realms im reminded about all my failed attempts to make Melitele work. Either way thanks for getting me into this game years ago its been one of the best card games i've ever played.
I have a very similar deck, it's my fav deck, it's not consistent but man, What hell of fun I have playing that deck Maiden shield+Arch+Ring +triangle😅
I've been playing a different version of this deck, in my experience it works a lot better with The Maiden's Shield. Draw it off Temple so the Grace 14 activates immediately, use Ale of the Ancestors and dump all your buff cards on the Archgriffin. Fun deck buts its unfortunate that it just loses to purify/movement on defender + tall punish.
ouPlayed against you earllier using your SK Alchemy discard deck! I noticed it afterwards in match history. I really appreciate the content, keep 'em coming. Your videos are huge help to noobs like me and gwent enthusiasts in general
Man. Archgriffin mages was peak Gwent imo! Just broken deck fun when everyone was experimenting with the new drops and mechanics. I really hope Witcher 4 brings on Gwent 2. Ideally it becomes cross platform with a card economy (counter strike skins) and community card builder / voter for user generated content.
Calveit and council actually work really well together because council can pull your Calveit round 1 in that rare 1/50 round one scenario when you don’t draw Calveit, as well as enable you to find vikgefortz round 2 if your round 1 hand was mostly bronze. Furthermore it has synergy with imperial marine which lets you see your top cards, which sometimes aren’t the ones that they should be based on provisions because of mulligans.
I hope you don't mind my correcting your pronunciation on this one name, Ildiko, but "Il dyke-o" sounds Italian (almost!). In Hungarian, it's pronounced "Eel-Dee-Ko" :) Great watching you play, bro!
Hey Q loving the constant uploads lately. I had a crazy idea and wonder if its possible lol. If it is could you please make a video on it, i think it would be awesome. So the idea as actually just a Neutral deck, yea dont know how that would work and with what leader but maybe you could create something like that. Keep up the good stuff bro.
If i were to do a full neutral deck I’d likely lean towards something like my recent NR bandits deck and just replace whatever I have in the top end with Sunset Wanderers, Maybe another Geralt, Unicorns etc. Another way you could go would be all the bonded cards then Madoc and some bombs. For leader I could see Uprising, Reckless Flurry or Imprisonment being pretty good since they don’t rely on a specific archetype. I’ll give it a try one of these days.
This is an school maverick deck. I can't believe you've managed to make it work, it's typically such a none negotiable deck when it comes to sequencing. 👏
Crazy deck lmao. My only objection would be to take out portal. The tenpo helps a lot but it forces you to clog urself with bronze specials when Erland wants units in the deck. I guess it's a matter of whether you want +6 in Erland or more R1 tenpo
@@shoestorekiddo My thought process was how can I not get crushed in round 1 and have what I need to push for a 2-0. The specials are fine imo since we can put them all on AG quickly in round 1 before a pass and bring it back with location and for Erland later. Although Erland likes units, the overall boost amount is really all that matters. I find the specials helpful to keep the mages, Dandy etc going too.
Sigi is pretty sweet. I pick him off Temple when I see him. I feel like he needs some Mentor and Seren support to really shine on his passive. What does your deck look like in the top end?
@Qcento top end of deck is Temple, Sigi, AllGod, Dormir, Radowid, Triss buterfly, Erland, and location (additional Griffin). First round is Temple and taking Arch with order, utilize griffins x3, offerings, location order redanians agents into Sigi, two cards down in round one is acceptable. Second round depends of what we are facing, but we can drop dormir and arch if we are sure that opponent has no tall removal or reset. Third round desirable is 3-4 card round, usually erland has around 60 points. Sometimes I'm getting dandelion from temple and then erland in third round can be around 80-90 points 😃 of course Sometimes we loose to CC xD
@Qcento I've played your deck and I see few issues with it 😀 Main problem is that you have a lot of special cards - understandable if those cards are buffing Arch but quite often they are going on other units, and then they are kind of waste, due to fact that every unit (4/5 provision units) will give you +1 point on Erland in last round. And on top of that you have Drakenborg and Portal which are location and also they are thinning deck in round 1,2 from units 😀 so in round 3 when I was playing Erland sometimes I had only 1 or 2 units in deck and bunch of specials. I would recommend to cut drakenborg and portal as with pincer maneuver you always grab cards that you need (add Rodowid) and thinning Is not needed and actually is not desirable with idea playing Erland in R3. And of course more units, less specials. Your deck is very binary cause your relay only on Arch, with Sigi, Arch is only addition and Sigi is prime star. But overall interesting deck as always 👍
I started a discussion in the community tab today on this. Since I was gone for 3 months, take my recommendations with a grain of salt. I just picked what I thought was right based on my experience this month. I also didn’t spend too much time combing through all the cards before I picked.
Has anyone seen any bots in casual mode in the last couple days? I haven't run into a single bot since the event started and I'm wondering if the company finally got rid of them or something.
0% Winrate against bounty 4 out of 4. It‘s literally impossible to win without control, they just kill defender and then kill or ban the griffin. Fun playing them 4 out of 5 games🤷🏼♂️
Oh I know it‘s just strange that whenever I play a new deck, my opponents have decks that counter it easily. Like, I didn’t play against bounty for ages, all of a sudden I play them in 4 out of 5 games? Strange to say the least🤷🏼♂️
