I bought a GWM CANNON X one thing I found with mine is it has a voice control so you say 'volumedown' it will turn it down and vise versa, same with the air conditioner, will turn it up and down. The phone when you log in Bluetooth gives you hands free use. I absolutely love it. KevinPortener
I own a Cannon X with 30000kms. I have always been a supporter of the brand until now. I went to the dealer Autostrada in Western Australia, for a service and had them look at a minor warranty issue for a delaminating park brake button, along with recalling for the headrests to be replaced. This work was booked in over a month prior to the service date. It’s been over a year and when going to book my 30000kms service I enquired again as the the park brake and it turn out that even though the dealer told me it was warranty and would be replaced they had not even ordered the part and not submitted a warranty claim to GWM/HAVAL. Not only this they did not replace the recall item on the headrests. When I approached GWM/HAVAL HQ I was told it’s my problem and they have nothing to do with it. So basically, your on your own. Ok so you might think this is a dealer/service department issue but can you imagine if this was a larger warranty issue and this was the support you expect to receive. I was going to look at a new vehicle next year and I can be sure GWM/HAVAL are off the list. Warranty support is critical to me and this seals the deal. Thanks for no support GWM/HAVAL, if warranty is important to you seriously consider other brands, as GWM/HAVAL do not provide customer support.
Hey thanks for your comment and I'm sorry to hear about your issue :( I'm looking at a new family car and I keep getting pulled to the lower cost brands - but then you hear about issues like this and think - is the cost savings really worth the potential headache :(
I live in nz and I import accessories for the cannon. full blackout grill kits bonnet protectors wheel flares and all light covers. I love the way its so easy to customize these utes
@@LightTherapyInsiders I'm looking into them. My supplier has been working on them. The gwm cannon owners nz page is alive with people making cannons thier own
@@LightTherapyInsiders I have asked the supplier and they are doing mirror covers handle covers monsoon shields but there is rear light covers and all sorts
The lane keep assist when set to Low and Centre Keep is more mild and not so invasive. With radar cruise control its a really easy comfortable drive on long trips.
@@LightTherapyInsiders One more point to note on that Lane Keep Assist also is - use indicators when turning or changing lanes at activated speeds. That also disables LKA and stops any feeling of it fighting and pulling back.
Great Video. I'm strongly considering this over the new T60. Hopefully you get to spend a bit more time with it in the future for a more in depth review.
Yeah it's a nice ute. T60 has a lot more power though. I keep reaching out but don't get any love on the review/test units. I guess because I'm just some dude who doesn't really focus on vehicle reviews haha so they don't see much upside - just risk (damage, or me bad mouthing their product!) Hopefully I come across a mate who has brought one and I can use his :P
Great ute overall. Just when you going downhill and press the break to control the speed then it drops gears too quickly. Like will go to 3rd gear from 6th and speed will still be 50 or something. It just makes rpm goes crazy.
I'm glad that Australians are trying out the new Chinese vans, so we don't get stuck with the models that already dominate the markets, the prices seem quite appealing.
Hey sorry I this was a demo vehicle from my local dealer. I think they were Cooper tyres? I don't recall the size and I don't think it had any lift upgrades.
Yeah that would be epic. IDK I drive a low powered LDV t60 (109kw) and it does the job for me. It is a ute though, I mean I'm not buying a ute to break 0-100 records. But I do understand people want the power for towing - in which case that extra power would be nice
@@LightTherapyInsiders according to the ford CEO dealerships as franchises are jacking up prices, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qUdHx2zX4Uo.html
I've seen guys with well over 100kon the clock - this was in an aussie LDV group. But I can understand why people are happy to sit back and give these utes a few years before jumping in.
Are you aware that the 7 year unlimited and 5 year roadside assist is flawed. If a breakdown occurs , towing is limited to 50km, NOT to the nearest GWM service centre. It is also not 5 years unlimited km , it is 5 yrs or 100,000 km. Im at 30000km after 6mths so roughly 18mths roadside assist. If the car needs any sort of towing and the engine cant be started, a tilt tray is required. Nearest dealer could be 1 thousand km away, hardly the reason I bought this vehicle. I am setting up a case with fair trading as all of the dealers ,sold these vehicles under false pretences. Anyone who has one , ask your dealer for clarification. They will refer you onto GWM roadside assist who will then spill the beans on this fraud.
@@LightTherapyInsiders Will do. If you look at the website there is no mention under terms of service of the roadside assist package. Its only when you call them that you find out. I havent had a problem, but a $3500 towing bill from Moree to Maitland isnt something I wouldve risked.
Finally got this sorted, no thanks to the dealer. Warranty and roadside assist are 5 yrs and towing is included. Contrary advice and website info are being addressed
