I have owned this layout for about a year now and still operate most days, only thing that's changed is that i've incorporated more modern stock and made it a joint BR/SR region station, Fantastic workmanship, i am so lucky to own this.
Exquisite layout with first class weathering and scenery. The backscene blends in beautifully and the sound track makes this a great evocation of times past. Good to meet you at the SVR and hope you managed to get up close and personal with that pannier tank. Loved the Bach too.
Cheers Philip. The sound really helps to bring it to life. It's a little too loud I think... but all good practise. I'm improving. I must get my loco fleet sorted out though. Since I weathered them... they have been poor runners.
What a superb layout, well done indeed! it could have almost been real. Once the garden railway is finished I will turn my attention to a similar model. Thank you.
Stunning layout! The detail is superb and looks so realistic! I like the interest of running round and the little coaling up part. Just shows you can do alot with just a small layout and a few tracks.
Well, that certainly made a difference over part one. Sound track has made a world of difference. I'd like to think I could do that well at my first attempt. Well done sir!!!!. 😀😀😀😀😀
That was absolutely brilliant Matt ,the sound of a working loco & general back ground sounds adds to the atmosphere ,all we need is that early autumn chill .The attention to detail is what brings to life .Any future plans to look forward to .
I feel the sound completes the overall atmosphere. As you say below, it can be turned down! Fabulous modelling looks bigger than it really is. How did you get the sound effects?
Hi there. The scenic section measures 4ft 4inches by 12 inches. It is designed literally within an inch of its life! The loco release can accommodate a loco the size of a GWR manor (about 21cm I think off the top of my head). The loop will hold two coaches.
@@mattyhaynes1 you have done very well to get stuck a realistic layout in such a short space. I have a similar space but my track plan is very contrived!
Yet another otherwise delightful model railway video that can't bear, or bother, to tell us what the scale is. Oh, and you don't need to fade to black between clips. For the most part just make a cut.
I’ll not criticise the modelling. It’s top class. The colours, textures, techniques, details are fantastic. But IT’S TOO BLOODY LOUD! TURN THE FRIGGING VOLUME DOWN.
The sound was left fairly loud to cater for people using laptops or poor sound systems. It's my first attempt at sound. I'm sure it's not too difficult for the individual to turn the sound down to the level they require.
