I kind of like this song, it suits the aggressive, working class image GWS are going for. Shame they messed the rest up and became yet another generic, Victorianised team who has to resort to playing in Canberra to garner support.

TARDIS Tales No actually the AFL knows EXACTLY what it was doing with GWS. They've been quite savy with this, drop another team into Sydney for the long-haul to legitimise the game in the country's largest city, and at the same time double-dip by having the Giants pull double duty playing and promoting in Canberra. And considering they just sold out a game there, and also have a membership tally that is in the top 3-5 were they a NRL team and also higher than Sydney FC the soccer club that just recently were in an A League grand final, I'd say they have exceeded expectations for a 3 yr old club. That article was so loaded I'm rather surprised it hadn't toppled under the weight of its own self-satisfaction. The AFL is marketing itself as new and fresh in GWS and Gold Coast. New franchises, new opportunity. Quite different from Melbourne 'Heart's approach of 'Rebrand with the Melbourne flag to try and parasitically attach ourselves to the city's sporting history.' I can tell you which approach is the more genuine and it ain't 'Melbourne City's'
That was in 2012, 2013 and 2014. In 2015 they won 11 games lost 11 games drew 0 games in 2016 they finished 4th on the ladder!!!! That is so awesome!!!!! GWS Giants are doing very well this year (2016)
