Great review. One question, does it really makes sense to do this on floor mats? I mean this way all the grimy dirty water actually sheets off the mat and soaks in under it. I would definitely do that though on some fabric seats to protect it soaking in that quickly stuff coming off your skin and accidental spills.
Hello! This test on the mats was purely for demonstration and testing purposes. You could make a case that you wouldn’t want to do it on the mats and it is understandable. Only chose to do this for video purposes. Thanks for watching!
wait, wouldn't you want your car mats to soak up water so it doesn't get into the carpet? At least that's my thinking. I would rather have water from my shoes get on the mat instead of soaking the carpet and potentially causing mold.
John M Thanks for the comment! Generally yes. This was a test done just on a mat to test the results. You would want to use the product on all fabric areas (carpets, seats, etc.) to safe guard against spills and stains. Here in AZ we don’t have much of rain but a good idea would be to protect everything except for the mats if you have a lot of wet shoes. Thanks!
I just got the CarPro Fabric the other day but haven't had a chance to apply it yet. Looks like it worked fabulously. I have used Gtechniq Smart Fabric previously and it worked similarly. CarPro, Gyeon, and Gtechniq are probably the best three currently on the market and are very close in performance. Stay away from the cheaper ones, they simply don't work that good. I tried a few of the cheaper ones from several companies and I was not impressed at all. Water soaked right through, even after multiple coats. I went back to the higher end companies. Yeah, it's more money, but this is truly a case of "you get what you pay for".
@@timmy8784 That's true, the cheap ones are better than no protection at all but for a little more money you can get one of the good ones which might last six months or more, even with heavier use. I just got the CarPro Fabric in the 100ml bottle for like $17 and it should be enough to do the Alcantara seat centers and carpets in my Nissan 370Z, one complete application.
TK BRAYER Sorry for the delay! I haven’t been able to make a video yet but I did test out a small section by pouring some water on both sides and both are still repelling water off even after a few months! Honestly they both seem to be performing great so I can’t say one is better than the other at this point. My suggestion would be to get whichever one you can get for the best deal.
